I know, I took him on a nice steady 3 hour walk the other night and he was sweating heavily. He needs to lay off the pies and get out with the dog more. Ask him about his dogs recall.....

Thanks. The pics I post on here are not good enough for the books. They're just from the recycle bin to be honest. Believe it or not the lens is a cheapo £60 er. It's a plastic lens made by canon, 50 mm. I've tried most every lens there is to try, the one I was using before this was an L series 17-40, but it wasn't 'that' crisp to be honest. I've decided to give this cheapo lens a good trial tynchis season and see what the results are. I think have a good flash unit is the key........ would need to be ETTL with high speed sync and set to the multi stroboscopic option. you could p

Big stubbles, salmos, silvers, netting tor of dartmoor.............I was thinking more can't turn off the light, talks for fecking scotland and slips his dog in on others runs, but my eyes could have lied to me ..yet there's no one better in his eyes charging young boys to go out ferreting there's only one whin Hey, don't be like that. There's lots of hidden expenses...such as ferret-tax, the price of fuel, and tutoring in all manner of veni/salmo harvesting, so there's always a price on knowledge.... Big stubb's.

I always use barbless when trouting. You can get very quick at disgorging them and getting the bait back in the water........

hi matey...........with a DSLR it doesnt matter whether you use colour b&w. The main bit is to make sure everything focussed and the apertures right and the shutter speed aint too high or low....and the subjects centred... Oh, and you , ideally, want to be within 8 foot of the action.....ideally.

Ignore them. They never get a penny out of me. they've tried to do me before when parking in motorway services when lamping an all-nighter.....they send letters for a month or two then they go away.

Absolutely no rush.....by Christmas would be great to be honest. Just drop me a pm with any questions/queries. I'm hoping to make this a good-quality trilogy on lamping. Many thanks to everyone who has offered to write an article. I'm sure you'll like the end result.....

You're right there 3175Darren......they're not easy.... Most people that try to get them end up giving up due to the frustration.... Like banging your head against a brick wall!!

Hi, it doesn't work like that with camera. Camcorders and camera lenses are two different things matey.... Everythings worth a try, but I'm sticking with my methods....

I'd say thats a top class piccy. One I'd love to have taken. :victory:

They're hard to get, so I'm careful what I put on the net as they'll get copied and could even be used against us. Here's one from last night.....just so people can see the general theme.... Still lots of experimentation to do. I took a few lucky shots last night......stumbling about in the dark and firing the camera at everything, you're bound to get a shot or two in the end. happy lamping folks... :victory:

Was that when your weight problem started?

If you've got something to say; say it. I too remember a guy years ago. He had these big silly heavy lurchers that couldn't catch F All, and he didn't believe anyone elses dog's could catch anything too. (Not saying you're like that, it just brought a memory back). Looks like iv touched a nerve again.....I didnt mean to ... Good luck with the book :D Good luck with the lurchers.
