  1. What was your stabilizer as your box was only notched at one side There's only one spring so it wouldn't matter if the notch was at both sides. I use two screws as stabilisers. are the screws in the roof? Ive been using 110's and struggled. plenty of pass throughs, but nowhere near the success I have with fenns. It shouldn't matter TBH. I have now moved onto tunnels with no bottom in, so it's natural earth, so obviously they're on the top then.. Squirrels should be able to go through the BMI triggers too easily, but i have seen it done. There's a little trick you can use if th
  2. Do we not have a link to that fabulous thread?
  3. I would avoid HW100 anything. They have had problems from the start and HW haven't really got to grips with the issue. IMO. Never had a problem with mine, had it since 2010, not even a service. Well you're lucky buddy. I had trouble with mine and a few of my mates have too. Pressure dropping overnight in the bottle.....mine was leaking and it was one of the first in the country. I wasn't happy! ha ha
  4. I wonder if things would have been different if we hadn't been in europe??? Some are saying that the government should bail the steel works out, but then others are saying if they aren't making a profit then it will be money down the pan. Anyones thoughts on this?

  6. Its a different, whiter beam than the lightforce. I've tried them side by side and they both go the same 'distance'.....or at least they seem to do.
  7. a think something needs to be done but the club needs to get MPs involved that can make an impact.plus a lot of people shit on the lurcher boys I think we have this bad publicity because we get slandered by other field sports just my opinionNo matey, we get bad publicity because of the idiots within our own ranks. Lurcher clubs will have no bearing on MP's. Not directly anyway. The way for lurcher club to have any leverage is through a weight of members and affiliation to the CA. There is no other way IMO. so are you saying we don't get shit on buy other fields sports?I'm saying that for ev
  8. Is the government closing the steel industry down. Or is it down to our steel being too expensive?

  11. if a cat is roaming the woods and a lurcher grabs it then you cannot blame the dog. After all, the cat was in the woods looking for something to kill anyway. It is just nature. However, it should be avoided if possible. My own dog is 110% with cats in the street, he won't chase them. But in the woods when he's on excersise, then who can blame a dog for chasing a cat? As for a dog killing a cat in the street, yes, again, regrettable. BUT there are a thousand times more cats killed by cars than dogs in the UK. Accidents are accidents. You cannot legislate against accidents.
  12. I've had a good few in the 55's now. Belting trap.
  13. what does this mean money to be paid to join the c/a or will there just be membership fees for this lurcher club ? Why are you concerned? You said you aren't going to join. All you have done is be negative, so why don't you leave this thread to those who want to work toward defending our sport. There is no point in raking over ashes and 'we should ahve done this' etc, because none of us have done anything for ten years, so we've all ourselves to blame. Onward and upwards.
  14. I like the wooden stocks on the cricket, the skeleton types. But I don't know if they are available over here. Kalibr need to start manufacturing sub 12ft/lb rifles so they can import directly.

  16. Where have you guys been able to buy them in the UK?? There seems to be a distinct lack of them about. Thanks.
  17. That would have been good to get on video...
  18. Capstick didn't take the head shot, instead he went for a 'raking shot to the heart'. I have the full film of his hunt here. I know that he is considered by many to be a fraud, but he could write a damn good story and his narration skills are second to none. IMO. he is one of my favourite writers. he was heavily influenced by R Ruark, who is my favourtie writer. Any chance you could put the film up JD? It's an hour long DVD matey.I wouldn't know how to. Have a look on ebay for Sportmen on Film, capstick series. He did several films with Ken Wilson. In most of the films Ken
