  1. Well, it looks like we're both speaking from experience then. BUT, I reckon I've a few more years filming experience than you and I don't find lamping films difficult at all. But hey, that's just me...... So, good luck to ya..... p.s, would love to see a few of your lamping pics...... :whistling:
  2. Nice looking dog....but, I'd like to ask Whin what makes the dog 'very top class'?? What does the dog do that seperates him from just an average dog?
  3. GIRO, I'm only speaking from experience....... Let's just say I've done my fair share of lamping videos, starting a LONG time ago......
  4. Just a quick one for people who are computer savvy. Does anyone have any recommendations for the software that is easy to use when putting a dvd together. Thanks.
  5. I wonder if anyone has asked the question; ' why not find housing for the homeless scottish people living on the streets before importing more immigrants in'??
  6. I use biothane collars and leads and they're superb. However, that clip needs changing matey.
  7. Lamping vids aren't difficult chaps.......one of the most important things, IMO, is to know the land and lamp from where the bunnys going to head for then all the action is close and personal......You'll catch more rabbits with two lamps than one....
  8. I wish I still had the array of lamps I've used. It would make a great photo. Starting off with the Lucas beams that were pretty weak and yellow and those square 'lamps' from the local 'Charlie Browns' car centres for £4.99.... The early american ones that were called either Speaker or Squeaker, I can't quite remember.....then there's the old Blue-eye, IMO the most over-rated lamp in the history of hunting! 110,000 and we thought we'd be able to lamp on the moon! :laugh:All good fun when you're young. Fuji, are you sure those rabbit's haven't come straight out of your freezer...I'm
  9. Well done lads....I was meant to be out with Tomo but he dumped me for younger, fresher meat...
  10. First of all...make sure you've taken some pics. Then plug the camera in. Open 'My PC' Double click the camera lozenge. This will open up another lozenge, click on that. Highlight all the photos. MOVE to documents. Then you can move them where you want from there.....
  11. Believe it or not, I took a load but they're all shit. Honest, I have been messing about with the lens and its focussed too close. b*****d thing! I'm still experimenting and this means that sometimes I make a balls up of it!!
  12. Got 244k out of my last one...my mate now has it and it's still running......they're the best cars out there IMO.
  13. Just got in.....some of the best conditions I've ever seen. Superb.... Makes a man glad to be alive when he's out in the black fields, just him and his trusty hound... Wind and blackness made me think I was a youngster again..... :victory:
  14. you've not had much luck this season buddy......and they say that the ugly ones get all the luck...just goes to show that it's not always the case....
  15. I was out in it last night, so Barney was about...... Tonight looks like it's going to be even better......
  16. The most pioneering angling programme of all time. It will never be surpassed because nowadays the angling films are all about bigger, faster, more, more, more. The magic has gone out of much fishing, for me at the very least. However back in the day PFA was groundbreaking and as good as any attenborough film of the time. I love them all, redmire is a belter though. The salmon one was filmed at the top of the River Dulnain, a tributary of the Spey. We spent many a memorable day trying to find that pool, but it's not the sort of place you can just walk around, and , besides, there's not
  17. I struggle to believe that there is a place in the wild holding Chinese water deer, muntjac, sika, roe, fallow and red all on the same land. I know the 6 species share a county but deffo not a certain place??ill back that 1 up because iv been there were all 6 are . And it sure is a lovely place for a keen man and a keen dog! :victory:
  18. I used to use them years ago. Not bad little batterys. My mate used to fit alarms so I got as many as I wanted. I think they are an unusual amp/hr. If i remember correctly.
  19. I used to love watching Rhonda, but her ego's taken over and she's started spouting off. You know what they say about pride before a fall......... Rhonda was chasing all the time, almost desperately, stumbling and not looking her usual self. Holly seems a very very worthy and humble winner, she will make a great champion. The re-match is sure going to be interesting....
  20. Clu lite PLR- 500.....honestly it is superb and you won't believe how light it is or how long it lasts! I used it last night and Im didn't get home til almost 1am....still plenty of charge in it!
  21. Does anyone teach the dog the command to go 'under'? I've seen plenty of macho types over the years that are always getting their dogs jumping silly obstacles. if the jump ain't right then have respect for the dog and lift it over. I like a dog to jump and never start pups off until they're 8 or 9 months old. It's what suits me. However, In many cases I will order my dog under an obstacle rather than over it. Last night we had to negotiate a shitty hedgerow with wire a-plenty, a proper vets retrirement fund if there ever was one. I told the dog to 'wait' and then 'under' and he di
  22. Most of these lads publish themselves mate. As for images you could ask for some action shots off lads on here like Darcy has or you could find someone keen on photography to take pics of yours. You dont need all action shots anyway. Real pictures mean more even if the quality is less. I would rather see pictures included in a book because the event had something to contribute rather than look at photos of events being acted out purely to get pictures for a book...that just smells a bit plastic to me. Cheers matie..some food for thought there.. had quotes for self publishing but, a bi
  23. Don't believe a word he says....if it's who I think you're refering to.... He is the man that had a greyhound with more stamina than any saluki.....and his lads run 25 miles before breakfast......
  24. Have you put a claim in yet Tomo?
  25. I struggle to believe that there is a place in the wild holding Chinese water deer, muntjac, sika, roe, fallow and red all on the same land. I know the 6 species share a county but deffo not a certain place?? Well, it's a struggle you'll have to live with buddy...... :victory: I'm not going to lie about such things. Good Hunting, J Darcy.
