  1. They snap for fun. I snapped 3 and my cousin snapped one. The 'solid' tip is good, but the quiver one often breaks. They had a load sent back. Diawa Porky Pig, now thats a rod...
  2. This is a funny looking one///////

  4. Hi Buddy, yes I use .177. I've hardly done any shooting this winter, but a mate of mine has asked me to take him out so that's given me a bit of a kick up the arse, so I'm going to have a night or two a week out in the woods. Expecting some decent bags. Will keep everyone posted.
  5. Out on a cold, cold day. Beagling is the finest of all hound sports. IMO.
  6. Nice little pack is the Colne Valley.
  7. Some moles make their hills to the left of their runs, and some to the right. They favour either one side or the other IMO. Moles get into 'enclosed' places as they use runs that have existed there before the building was built. I once did a job in the middle of a town, a postage stamp garden. Totally enclosed, but I caught three moles. Now they weren't all dropped by cats now were they? Only my opinion though....
  8. Both Lighthunter stocks and , mine is the 8 shot Raptor, i think, whilst Jay's is the single shot fn8. I will get better shots of them next week.
  9. There's not many situations where .22 will do better than .177. All things taken into consideration. i've shot a mountain of tackle with the little .177 and I'd never shoot a .22 again.
  10. My mate Jay had a walk out on my land today for an hour. We did 50 minutes in the rain. To be honest we didn't see as much as we normally did, maybe only 20 odd woodies, but then I took him to a new magpie roost and we dropped four of them , ending up with five woodies and four maggies. Could have had a hell of a lot more but whats the point in wandering about in the dark getting wet through.....jay was shooting an FN8 and I had a FN12 raptor... We're going to have another night out in a weeks time when I'm going to show him my favourite maggie roosts...told him to bring lots of pellets...
  11. Gggrrr..just typed a big bloody post out then hit the wrong key and it all vanished!! From what little I know about it all, this are my thoughts. it really doesn't matter what lamp you use for filming. Yes, the more modern lamps are 'whiter' beamed but , for me, the old yellow beams hold more nostalgia. Nothing will get footage better than you getting that camera as close to the action as possible. This means lamping from where the rabbit is going to run to. If you get that done then you've cracked it. The rest's just childs play and it won't matter what lamp you use. In the mid ni
  12. Nope, you're not on your own. I have had two and they were both the thickest, dumbest. flightiest twats ever. They've got to be my best buddy to stay here.
  13. 1/4 bull, 3/4 whippet.....or if it is a little bigger...bull/grey/ whipp/grey
  14. I think it all boils down to how good you want the images to be. If you want them to be of a very high standard then a nikon or canon would be the lenses I'd look at. A 2nd hand Nikon will be better than a brand new sigma.
  15. I've caught a few in woods, day and night. but not always when I wanted to.
  16. Think it was matie..yes that Denned..he used to get around a lot of the shows Anyone know the judge on the left? Is it Leeview?
  17. If I had to use only one word to describe this lens....hhmmm....i'd say 'Crap'. ha ha I have owned one of these and i tried my best , but you're struggling with a very slow lens, and the day is cloudy then you're going to have to whack that ISO right up. Only thing is, unless your body is high spec then the pics will be as grainy as hell. Obviously, I might well be wrong. I've been serious on wildlife/hunting photos for a great many year now. I've probably got the largest portfolio of lurcherwork photos in the whole wide world,I've tried all the short cuts .But, I have to say, ha
