My link try this link for pics make sure you push the ring into the hole about elbow deep & then i usually push the ring in the dirt/ground then evenly place net around hole & peg at 6 oclock angle pics explain more & you will learn like i did if they are too tight they bounce back of the net, im no expert but the more you set your nets the easier it gets
  2. if you dont think you can untangle them before you dispatch do what old frank does , karate chops them on back of the head whilst still in the net ))

My link try this link but not sure how good they are, the ones i have in mine are the standard ones which come when new ( they are called rayovac quartz 394 & 9v rayovac pp3 as for changing batteries you dont need to every time i take my batteries out of the collars ( i clean mine after each outing ) & then just put them in when im going out, obviously make sure the collar is turned on before you put it on the ferrets neck & turn it off when the collar has been taken off the ferret , if you need to turn the collar on with the box/arrow/magnet it sound like you got mk3m c

  6. depends if you got mk3 ( grey collars )= 393 Mark 3 16' collars or mk3 m black collar ( turn on with magnet)=394 two required or pp3 for reciever hope this helps regards john
  7. Ring Crime Stoppers and report him for being a padeo, filming little girls playing on the field ......... Classic have reported camera & police have called & have confirmed he was breaking the law filming, voidism ( think thats how its spelled ),not sure if he has been arrested they wouldnt say, will find out more when i get my visit, i think he is trying to say my dog is dangerous because he is off the lead so i bought 30m line lead so i have controll & as long as my dog doesnt bark hopefully he will be the one loking like womans p thing, regards joh
  8. dont mean to hijack your thread ,for 2 years i have walked my dog on a field near me & every time we walk past there is a small dog which consistantly barks,if my dog is off the lead he will go to the fence ( which is 7 ft) & bark, i recieved a similar letter, now i am the one being told i am breach of my tennacy agreement because my dog is causing a nuisance, the guy has threatened me, followed me & even filmed me & my son, he has now installed a camera facing the field to film anything, this is a joke, have reported this to the police but nothing gets done , i am getting a v

  12. just thought i would share a painting that an artist freind has done for me, he has done some amazing, pastel drawings of dogs, this is only a photo of the painting , im waiting for it to dry & then he will varnish it for me then its taking an empty space in my hallway, regards john negative comments appreciated along with positive ones as well
  13. feeding fur acts as a pipe cleaner for worms, apparently, i skin mine but leave a bit of fur on for them, keep the kidneys liver & heart as a treat when finished working regards john

  15. have got permission on a couple of golf courses, yesterday i got a call from the greenkeeper of my local course asking if i could sort the moles out, i have only just got back into ferreting after a long break & was wondering if i should pass the work on to someone who does mole trapping proffesionally or give it a go myself, just want to keep him happy but dont want to mess it up & lose the permission i was honest with him & told him never done it before , but was willing to give it a go, regards john
  16. first dig of the year easy sandy soil, sent the young lads in , easy back fill , i did the hard work locating the ferret, best £148 i spent.
  17. glad to hear you got your ferret back, a ferret locator is an essential piece of kit in my eyes ( i know lots of people who work without 1 ) have only worked mine once without a collar & 1 went AWOL for 2 hrs & then resurfaced looking at me as if to say what you panicking for ? so i bought one for peace of mind, for digging 9ft, lol i would have rang for a mini digger or a backactor
  18. have seen some strange colours on my permisions as well, there is an article in the CMW about various coloured bunnies,maybe we could start a list of different colours & where they was caught ? intersting to see how many abandoned pet bunnies have bred with wild ones , regards john
