  2. thats is class mate im having mine done got a mate who is a local artist, he came out with me on one of m,y permisssions & took soome shots & its on canvas he is putting finishing touches to it should be ready soon will post a pic when it arrives, nice looking poleys too, thanks for sharing regards john
  3. as the title says im after a second hand gun have only got £125 to spend what should i be expecting for that ? its a .22 im after & must have scope, break barrel ?? any advice appreciated, its my 1 st gun of my own that my dad cannot confiscate im 44 now want it for rabbit mainly regards john ps mods if this is in wrong section apologies
  4. could not agree more the grass was still knee high and the ferns waist high. this time last year the grass was right down and the ferns were almost down same on my permissions loads of cover still, im off out shooting tonight on golf course,happy just to get a couple to show the ferrets & feed them ,looks like its going to be end oct before i can start properly, as mine are young so need to take care & wait for less cover ,hope the season picks up for you & you get your locator regards john

  6. i use straw/hay in sleeping part but on floors i use lino easy to clean, mine have an underneath part which sits on flags so they crap outside most times other than that they crap in the end furthest away from sleeping compartment, great pics mate keep up the good work regards john

  10. hope he does slim down after a moult mines a real softie, but mad as a hatter when playing , my american bulldogs do a runner if hes in the garden , he has had them both , attacking their paws, next doors cat made an entrance the other day to be met by my hob mouth wide open teeth showing bouncing towards it chuckling !! not seen it in garden since after seeing a few poley ferrets ive taken a liking to the marking may get another jill next year seeing yours has just made my mind up regards john
  11. bloody hell he is a big un my hob this years kit tips the scales @ 2kg my jill only weighs 1kg, am hoping he will lose a bit when i work him which will be soon, i didnt want big ferrets either, but he has grown on me if he doesnt want to play he just does the Big Daddy splash on her & its all over, makes a cracking speedhump as well this pic was about 1 month ago

Dont give anything unless they need it , its from these american sites all this furball stuff , never had a ferret with a build up of coat in its guts in 16 yrs If you feed whole carcass you shouldnt have any issues with fur buildup in the gut too true Kay these American sites really do talk some crap, you wont go far wrong listening to advice from here mate dont trust those Yanks regards john

  17. hmm thats got me thinking , my ferrets are at bottom of garden & is of similar size they come out into run if i sit outside , may just have enough piping to do it brilliant idea , nice looking ferrets too regards john
  18. looking good mate, hope they crap where you want them too !! what you putting on the roof for covering ? how are you getting access to the hutches ?? does the lid lift off ? once you got them outside show us some pics with the ferrets in good job well done , regards john

  20. them dimensions for sleeping are a bit big 2ft x 1 ft , i would suggest no bigger than a shoe box size as any bigger & they will crap in the corner good luck with your project & your ferrets regards john
  21. will feed mine flesh in winter but summer dry food & meat at night they get treats like fuzzies & doc ,lambs heart liver etc kitten milk now & again & the odd worm when they find them regards john
