  1. Thanks for that, Si. Are you able to get hold of the more popular illuminators? I don't think that many people will have one that is the same as you've built yourself. The unit really needs to be tried with the Pulsars (808, 904, etc), N1000, Dipol L3, Odicforce (if indeed Nitehunters new ir isn't an Odicforce, as his older ones were), etc. Off the shelf units, basically. Lads need to know that what they may be about to purchase will see the ir they already own. PESCA
  2. 'Made in England by an Englishman' ? The only thing 'English' on the unit is the housing. All of the components are Chinese. So, 'Assembled in England, by an Englishman, using 90% Chinese parts ' would be more accurate. Zini, will you be testing the unit both with and without the Nitehunter 400mW IR? As the unit does not come as standard with the 400 ir, we have to assume that it will work well with other brands and ratings of illuminator. There may well be lads out there who have already shelled out for an illuminator and not in a position to spend over £100 on another. It would b
  3. I think they have adjustable beam, but not adjustable power. Don't be fooled by the 450mW rating, as it's an led based unit and won't stand up against the likes of a 100mW laser illuminator, as Andy says (N1000, for example). George
  4. That would probably be a thermal imaging camera, Terry. A useful bit of kit. I have one myself. George
  5. Hello Kevin. I think it was a server problem. The site was down for just over an hour, but back up and running now. Hawkeye 1 and guzz, I had the same problem initially, when I was trying to access the site through Google. I downloaded Firefox and have no problem at all now. I still use Google and keep Firefox just for http://www.nighvisionforumuk.com George
  6. Si, this is George from nightvisionforumuk. Just to put you right on something. There is no competition between groups on our forum that I'm aware of, and certainly not in relation to the matter that has been discussed both here and over there. The object of the comments was simply to ensure that people are being fed the correct information. Let's remember that people are planning to and maybe going to, spend their hard-earned pennies on the final product. Far from being in competition with NiteHunter, I get regular updates from the lads as to the progress of the unit, and I take a
