  1. Hello everyone, haven't been on the site for some time. Posting a picture of one of the pups out of the litter we have at the moment. Also a few, if not many pages back there was some talk of whether John Holden was still working his dogs. He is, and although he doesn't get out as much as I am sure he would like, still accounts for some foxes each year.
  2. granitor blackjack and granitor maggie I am working the sister to Blackjack Hunterscliff
  3. cheers yea he is pure granitor Beddie.man, What's the parents of your dog? Thanks Hunterscliff
  4. Hello, Granitor dogs are KC reg and have been around for I would think something like 30 years now. They tend to be small, dogs around 15 inches, bitches 13.5 to 14 inches all with dark coats. The dogs are owned and bred by John Holden in the Manchester area. I have seen 2 or 3 of his dogs work fox and they do not have a reverse gear. I had a dog with Granitor Warrior on both sides of his pedigree, not a great finder in large earths but would draw ever fox he met to ground except his very first one. I am now working a 100% Granitor bitch, 14 inches, blue and tan and she mixes it up a
  5. Emma, There are still working K.C. reg dogs out there so don't give up. They will take a little finding and a lot of research on your part but you will find some. Go and have a look at some litters, ask the breeder to take you and his/her dogs out and see whether you like what you see. Everyone who comes to look at any pups I have gets to see the adult dogs too. The chances are if you find a good working dog with a coat of the right texture and the right size, then you are not going to find it easy to win at a K.C show, as the judge will more than likely be looking for something wh
  6. Photo of the dam of the litter. Photo of the sire is lost, may be Printer could load a photo up. [/img] Hunterscliff
  7. Hello, Photo of one of her pups at 8 weeks. Bitch pup is now 9 weeks old.
  8. Printer, Just to let you know that the pups that your dog sired are looking good. I am going to keep the small dog pup as he's full of himself and has a nice long head. The other dog has only gone up the road so can keep an eye on him. He was already going blue at 8 weeks old so not the type of coat I like. The bitch has had no takers or should I say no one sensible has been to see her. She must go to a working home so that she can be tested before any pups are taken from her, SO if you fancy working a K.C reg bitch get in touch!! Will see if I can get some photos of them loaded
  9. Beddy, I guess that if you live in York and have a 3 yr old Rillington that it will probably have come from Taz who writes on here? I know of a couple of litters due with in the next month, both K.C reg and both would tend to be on the small size. My bitches are similar bred and are only around the 14 inch mark. Don't know if you be interested or not as I guess your dog will be unregistered. PM me if you want more info.
  10. Hybred, I better go into training if we've got even more ground to cover. Spoke to Dave the other night and all set to use his dog, he is out of Stone to Flint over Mick's mother. Speak to you soon
  11. Hybred, Looking forward to meeting up with you again for our regular Easter look around. Will the bitch out of Mick be having a look out with us this year? Mick is doing O.K but has lost some of his FIRE so he may not make it to yours this year, will have to see how he does. Speak to you soon
  12. Hello, Just found this site yesterday as I was 'surfing the net'. Some photo's where posted back on page 26 and Swanseajack asked who's dogs they were. Most of them are mine. Top photo is of Briar at around 1 yr old, mostly Granitor bred. Photo of 4 dogs - Lily is the liver bitch(Gutchcommon(mother of Briar)), Spike next to her as back. Pepper(Lily to Spike) is on the left on the front(would not work to ground so went to ratting/rabbiting home) and Brair next to her. Next photo down is Lily going to ground and Pepper watching. The photo of a single liver dog or bitch I believe
