  2. I have my .243 Steyr Mannlicher Prohunter 2 for sale. It has fired around 100 rounds. It is in very good condition, the only marks on it a few light scratches wear the bipod attached. I bought it new and shot it in properly with regular cleaning. Included with rifle is the Stealth 10 moderator and the Warne bases and 30mm rings. Th rifle shoots sub 1" groups at 100yards being fed factory bullets. Any inspection welcome. Please PM for details. Thanks Richard.
  3. Hi, Haven't been on here for years, used to be on here for lurchers but as a keeper now i've slid towards foxing, lurcher retrieves them though. Anyway, Thought I'd add my count.......168 picked up......If you can't sex them you can't count them! Could be on 200 though if I remembered how many weren't found.

I have no problems with wires or tangles while walking and no problems from the land rovers on my own either Get a bipod when you see foxy un fold legs to kneeling/sitting height bring lamp up between legs steadying the lamp on 1 leg with thumb and that way you can point lamp on or off fox gun is safe and steady and never glare he scope I use a clulite great because its longer than you can shoot and has he small bulb for gates etc
  15. we used them at bisley to rest the rifle barrel between shooters and if you needed to put the rifle down while setting up but not for shooting off

    Stolen

A friend of mine has had a terrier stolen from near guildford in Surrey, Its tan and black and pretty small, although fully grown looks to be of puppy age (fairly small) There is a reward for the return or information leading to the return of the bitch.....No questions asked just want it back!!!
  18. Be honest with yourself, if you don't have loads of time or experience or rate yourself as confident in dog training and whatever it will throw at you then go for the labrador route, they are more forgiving more eager to please and you'll encounter less problems than with a HPR type dog Also look carefully at what you will spend your time doing Beating - spaniel for drive and exurberence Retrieving/pigeon/wildfowl etc = lab for steadiness, patience, and strength on large game, stalking = HPR for scenting and gameness on large game But that is not to say they can't do the other jo
  19. diseases spread through populations when they are excessively high so reducing the number of animals in an area reduce the risk of disease examples of this are mange in foxes and myxi in rabbits there is a vaccine for TB but the problem is that it is so expensive it is more economical to pay farmers compensations for losses I believe that there should be a cull of badgers but have it as an open season say one month people can shoot them such as september you can shoot as many as you like............i write down the times and dates i see what i see and i believe that having one m
  20. rob reynolds what scope is that??
  21. 7mm exit pupil refers to the beam of light coming through the scope, making the exit pupil bigger just means theres light you don't see, the scope tube and lenses affect the quality of the light so a duller light is actually coming through the scope not less light as is commonly stated Example a 6x42 crap scope with 25mm tube still has a 7mm exit pupil but as the lenses are not perfectly clear they remove some of the colours of the light spectrum from the 7mm beam of light, much lke putting a red, blue and yellow filter over the front of the scope..........still got 7mm of light but ve
  22. i've been shooting in my 223 using american eagle and getting half inch groups so well happy and turned a fox to soup
  23. under the hunting act then yes but only if its land you have permission to take deer on or hunt on as otherwise it would be poaching!!
  24. start trying to cull them they breed all year round and are not easy to get at!!! altgough there are more pro shooters over there so jobs get done but they live in the thickest growth so shooting is very difficult start now and you might buy yourself some time to research further
  25. look at south yorkshire shooting supplies at www.rimfiremagic.com 10/22 aren't crap they are just the pimping gun like cyclist with there mountain bikes, people with there cars, you can turn a 10/22 into something that you love to look at hold and shoot, not just a 1 of a million others like every cz, remi or whatever they are great fun.......i only fitted a 12.5 inch barrel so its in and out the car window quicker, a match trigger which most guns could do with if its your hobby and you want to take your shooting to the next level and a new firing pin cos i put shit loads of rounds
