I dont get into debates on subjects i dont know enough about and i really dont have a great knowledge or interest in politics Brookie........my simple point is the fact a grocers daughter reached the very highest level of her profession.............i admire that. well tell yer dad he's a prick,sold council houses at less than market value which led toslum landlords charging what ever they wanted which inturn led to house prices rocketing which led to banks lending mortgages with no deposit at rates that where unsustainable & here we are now people losing their homes folk can't get a mortgage for love nor money next to no social housing so back to private/slum landlords charging what they want.the mines where the most productive in the world at the time,& small businesses won't flourish if everyone in the area is unemployed as folk have sa

my point was not that ferreting was a bad idea but at this time of year he'd be likely to get lie ups & thus could be at a hole for a while,i have seen dogs lose interest when there's no action. i to would not run dogs doubled up as you say it's fraught with dangers & problems in the making the retrieving was just highlighted as he'd already said he was having problems with that.he said he'd got close to a rabbit that bolted from a bush the dog stared to chase but stopped so i'm thinking it's close & seen it but for what ever reason it decided to stop i don't see how being -

what so you think you'll get quick bolts & there not preferable to a young dog. running double will improve it's retrieving & that getting out there with the dog & putting it in a position to find game is wrong or it isn't unusual for a dog not to chase -

well while the ferretin trip may work how many quick bolts your gonna get at this time of year is debatable & you could end up just boring the dog while waiting, ideally for a young dog you would pick small holes in the hope of quick bolts so the dog associates ferret in rabbit out,at this time of year the ferret is likely to be munching on nests of kits before it bothers about moving the adults on.as for lamping why would a dog that refuses to chase in the day miraculously start chasing at night, now you could run it doubled up & hope that gee's the dog on but that ain't gonna -
