typical bloody russells in and out like yo-yos ,prob just got a bit shy of the digging noise ,the terrier will hopefully be more confident next time, a bolt isnt a problem but your dog coming away from quarry could develop into one, plenty of lads dig alone(i have to no one likes me)best of luck in the future. -
its called profesionalism to get a win however marginal to hang on poorly by the skin of your teeth is preferable to throwing the game away in the fashion scotland did.

Keep your dogs well, keep you standards high but most of all enjoy it.

fair comment robbie1 i feel exactly the same way about deerhounds yet others swear by them ,I bought the wheaten as I wanted a pup to bring on and fancied trying a wheaten as Ive heard so much about them and just wanted to find out for myself if it isnt any good I will let you know lol.

Seen the add in the c.m.w is it as good or close to as good as a one piece digging tool

So the dumbest dog that follows the exact line the lure has run through gates wins Personally i think its a crock of shit & but if folk want to enter then they have to abide to the rule that the judges decision is final, end of May have the wrong end of the stick here but didnt you use to knock about with track racing dogs (whippets I think). Surely chasing stuff quarry or artificial is a case of instinct not inteligence the running cunning bit comes later with experiance JMHO

Shows just wondering why people take them so seriously , if I go to a show which is pretty rarely it is to meet up with old pals and have a pint and a laugh . If showing is realy such a big thing why not go the whole hog and go to crufts, please, please , please dont bull shit me with good show dogs make good workers Ime to long in the tooth to be taken in by that crap. The numbers of quality working terriers is in serious decline and 99% of the blame can be left at the entrance of the show ring.Borders ,Red Lakelands and then Lakelans in general all ruined by show stock .Now nightmare of all n

The only way to judge the best is by an earth , should say the "best looking dog on the day in the judges opinion" . JMHO lol

Well what can I say , I recieved a phone call from the show organiser yesterday, I have never doubted that this is a very profesionaly well run show and things do generaly go like clock work,I have never doubted that if you want to see top quality dogs this is a show to attend. My doubts were concerned with the competition side of things now after talking to Danny Sykes ,a very articulte and polite gentleman I must say, my concerns have definatly been dispelled after talking to him it was obvious that he is a very profesional man and is concerned with every one that attends this show visi
