  2. hi everybody,i,m a stranger to this section, but a guy i was talking to today said he once owned a sharp innova in the 80s.he said they were avery pwerful pump action and also quite cheap.just wondered if anybody had one or are there any still in circulation..
  3. hi ,guys, just wondered if anyone has had purse nets from a guy called thesnowyowl from ebay.must say his prices look ok,just wondered about quality.like to hear from anyone whos had em and what they bought etc...cheers..
  4. hi,nathan al take the 20 spun poly nets mate. pm me your number,,cheers .kev....
  5. you could try some nets with slightly bigger meshes, then the small jills would probly slip through without disturbing it.
  6. as the one said mate, seen them both on ebay under ferret finders,i think you could by 2 new wheels with stickers on for about a tenner..
  7. well done fellas,so good to see 2 members of the site getting on and helping each other out, rather than the slagging and insults found in the other sections.
  8. a mate of mine who dabbles in electronics, says theres not much can go wrong with em.problem is, all the chips and stuff inside have had the numbers blacked out . he reckons if we could get the part numbers, fixing em is easy.it makes you feel like telling deben to shove it up ther arse.the sooner summat else comes on the market the better........
  9. it,s the part that the wheel sits on. apparently theres a part inside that gets worn and causes it to bleep intermitantly.
  10. hi all, does anyone know where i can get spares for the mk1.just need the on/off mechanism.tried deben ,but met with the usual wall of silence.if anyone has an old one (BROKEN) al swap for a dozen new purse nets thanks,kev...........
  11. what a wonderful world the antis live in. what about the farmers who are losing money hand over fist by the devastation that rabbits are causing.these idiots really don,t believe that the rabbits are a problem, maybe they,ll start putting dried food out for the stoats and weasles.
  12. hi mate,i will give yer £60.00 if it works
  13. i know....but i really "have" to sell it now!lol.interest has been shown in a few things,if i manage to get buyers for everything, then i will split.but only if i get buyers for each item.cheers hi mate, don,t suppose youve any working adult jills for sale have you, needing a couple for this season, but with work etc ,havn,t got time on me hands to give kits the attention they need...cheers
  14. on one hand the cops say that courses have skant regard for landowners property, then next there saying that theres people spread across the fields,on site bookmakers, and estate cars and 4 wheel drives everywhere, if coursing is as covert as they say, it don,t say much for there fecking detective work does it
  15. i think £75 each is a bit of a joke, as for £25/£30,if it,s an adult worker, you have to take into consideration the time that the present owner has put into it . i.e rearing it well handling it then getting it working. then you may have a good rabbiting companion for 5or 6 seasons,so ithink£30is a bit of a snip.. if a lurcher put 5 or 6 rabbits a day in the pot they,d be asking 200 nicker....
  16. hi everybody,, could i put a full hob in the court with my 2 speyed jills at the moment, would he be trying to line them all the time. would i be better off keeping them apart until autumn.cheers
  17. i took a couple of pets from a guy last season (DUE TO ILNESS) they both turned out to be decent workers. i think if you go where there is an abundence of rabbits ,any ferret will find it,s natural hunting instincts, you may just have to be a bit patient...
  18. while at a barby yesterday,my mates nephew asked my advice on ferrets. he said he,d seen some at an agricultural market. he said, the guy said that they were workers, he had 3 jills and 2 hobs. the guy was handleing one of the jills but not the others . thing is,if i,d got a ferret that i,d nertured, spent time and money on and got working rabbits theres no way it would be going for a tenner as was the price of these,a ferret like that is pretty bloody priceless, and if the guy was a propper ferret man,one phone call to the grapevine and they would have been snapped up for at least double that
  19. hi, my ferret locator could do with a sevice this summer, could anyone tell me how much it would cost, and give me there contact number, cheers
  20. i everybody, need some advice..i,ve always kept my ferrets in hutches, but next week i,m avin a court built.thing is, i don,t want to put shavings on the floor cause there,l be all over the garden...do you think the ferrets would use a litter tray..ideally i,d like to put bark chippings on the floor, but if they didn,t use the trays,it would be a bit awkward finding the s..t and p..s...cheers .kev...
  21. hi andy, great set up.how much did it cost, and where is the bloke based.cheers
  22. hi mark, the 300 quid you mentioned for the weekend; is that per person or per cottage.if it,s per cottage it,s cheaper than butlins and with much better entertainment,cheers..kev......
  23. hi jenny, thanks for pm,not looking for a dog at the moment but my mates lurcher is knocking on so i think he may be interested in the near future so any advise would be useful...thanks..kev

  25. hi mate, i agree with pitindall 1978.the 10oz nylon are fantastic as you have the strength and wear of nylon, but with them being thick, you have the same workability of hemp...........
