  4. well lads just wondering what do ye consider the most versatile calibre the HMR or WMR.I do some bunny bashing with my dads 22lr and want to upgrade power without oblitering a rabbit at 90 yards. The main reason i want to upgrade is i go lamping regularly with me uncles and grandad and im the 3 inch magnum lad with the semi-auto mouth watering waiting for the fields to get smaller and the shots quicker. they have their 220 swifts and 223's but i dont want to go to the expence of a centrefire as i dont have the cash in college i know these arent ideal foxing calibres but i can get foxes with

  17. your certainly not going to go wrong with whippet , weather its pure bred or whippet x . i.e bedlington whippet , i opted for 3/4 bred whippet 1/4 bedlington , she was 18'' to shoulder , amazing bitch she was .. the whippet / whippet x is the ideal ferreting dog IMO .... thanks for the advice but i am finding it hard to find men in ireland with this sort of dog at least in my area.the lads are sound and will give advice on shooting and terrer work but the area doesnt have a strong lurcher tradition. but thanks anyway i'll keep looking thanks for putting me in the right direction i'
