  3. not the best looking but good condition for its age, could do with tidying and a paint but thats about it, all welding was done for the mot in oct 09, taxed till end of march, since ive had it iv replaced the front seats with honda crx ones, and the rear seat has been changed for a 3 seat clio one, (better for the kids) a far more comfy sj, ive put bfg mud's on sammy steel wheels on it, removed the front bumper, full stainless steel safari type roof rack complete with 4 spots at front, 1 at rear and 2 on either side for laning and there are 2 for the bull bar, cb radio fitted, cd player, angel
  4. join the suzuki forums you can never go wrong especially when sourcing parts or advise, http://forum.difflock.com/index.php?sid=0e1a0300d2acf92bc95716f38ded9db6 or http://forum.muddyzook.co.uk/index.php or shropshire suzuki i prefer the sj but thats my choice, but the vit is good both on oand offroad where my sj is shite on road but cracking off it

  7. are there any welders on here? i just bought a near new nu tool 101-2, bodyshop mig welder that the power lead had been cut off for another welder, other than that it was supposed to work, ive replaced the wire and the only thing happening is a click from the circuit board, but a closer look and iv found another wire that looks to have been cut but cant find where it goes, im just wondering if anyone on here has got the same welder that could take a pic of the wires from the switch's so i can trace where it goes cheers
  8. craddocks in cannock, staffordshire, they post too http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/
  9. mccullock garden shredder good working order £40 stoke on trent pm if interested
  10. pictures are decieving, its knackered, not too bad though and nowhere near as bad as some, especially being 25 yrs old, the chassis is solid and still has the paint on it, planning on taking the body off and getting it all welded proper and straight, then a respray, its no good for raod use as it horrible but offroad and its a cracker, cant fault it really apart from the lack of power but it still goes where most can
  11. just wondering if anyone is into offroad buggies, either homemade or manufacture built! or even thinking about getting into buggies, or like to build them ect
  12. you lot and your 90's, 110's and hilux's! now mines a proper motor  :11::11::11:
  13. 1500-1850if it knackered, 3000+ if its good
  14. the td5 will lack the power, its fly by wiring and all computer driven, you can notice the computer driving it when ye put ye foot down, try get a 200 or 300 tdi, much easier to work on IF they need it and a lot more guttsy engine, mate of mine does the offroad challenges and had the 200tdi in his 90, he changed the lump to a td5 which was put back to a 200tdi within 3 months, so judge for yeself,
  15. a 110 would be better for the dogs as theres the extra boot space, disco's and rangie's are near enought the same car as the chassis's are the same anyway its only the body thats different, a 90 is amazing offroad but not a lot of space, even if ye get a 110 or 90 the comfort side of things are easily enough sorted with a change of seats ect, @ the end of the day all of them are the same engines so all near enough bomb proof, but they all rot like compost so any with suit ye needs really,
  16. fourtrak mate, not as gig as a landy but not to small and reliable and plenty of poke,
  17. funny every lany iv had i bent everything on em, thats if they didnt fall apart 1st, the engines are the best thing about them,
  18. pai in the arse, welding nightmare them things, here mine with the rust cut away ended up as an offroader lift fuel tank inspection lid under the boot carpet and check the fuel line on the sender unit too as they are the same for rot, if ye brake line is gone theres a chance that is too.
  19. they are superb offroad, iv got a 410, never misses a beat, ye dont have to find a good one though as theyre very easy to work on, so getting one in tip top condition is simple enough. im just in the middle of changing the interior in mine with honda crx interior. then spraying and some modded body work heres a guys i know from another site, mega modded though with a vitara lump in it couple pics of mine
  20. behave yeself, theyre good but not that good, nothing is unstoppable even highly modded trucks.
  21. the vitara 1.9td are like rockin horse shit no one sells them the 2.0 tds are good ive had numerous 1.6 petrols and they are great off road ive whooped many a landy without even engagin 4low. another wee petrol is the sportrack go much bigger than the vitsras and mpg drops big time. rocking horse shit? theyre rarer than that arnt they as they are spanish made and if there are any about theyre imported, ye can get an adaptor plate to mount the pug engine to the vit box, and also the vw engine, but it can be silly money, depending what you want it for the jimny or the justy are good option
  22. check the small lines on the front calipers, (or most of the lines) but its these that go regular as they hold the shit of the road like a sponge (its a landy remember :wallbash:) mine split like a water balloon under heavy braking, there will also be 2 bleed nipples on the front if ye come to have them bled up, incase ye didnt know
  23. or buy one of these and some stainless pipe and make your own http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Southdown-Snorkel-Top-DISCOVERY-1-2-RANGE-ROVER_W0QQitemZ310187953488QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4838a48d50
  24. arnt all landys? mate of mine got a 98 disco with more rot and welding than my other mates series lla
