just got back from the show and had a really good day,not many there today but good stalls and centre ring displays all very very friendly and good weather which is half the show really.its still a lot to pay for a walk round though £8 for and adult and £3 for 5 and over but that seems to be they way of things, but it could be why places are not getting the crowds in todays economic climate.
there was a good falconry display and the gundog display and scurry was very good.nice amount of stalls.well organised.
family ticket £20
adult £8
child£3

hi mate welcome to the site.im originally from hartlepool myself, left about 10 years ago.there a good bunch on here and you'll get plenty of help and advice mate, all the best LW
thanks all for your input,it does seem that nearly all the 4x4's get around 35 mpg on average.i have bought my vehicle its a jeep cherokee 2.5 td ltd edition.im really pleased with it and i'll get some pictures up later, regards to all.LW
i'd go for a discovery, good on fuel loads of room for the family, dogs etc, and big enough to fit most tools etc in for work...
i was looking at a 2.5 300tdi the other day but what sort of milage on a run could i expect.cheers LW
iam sure this topic will have been dealt with in the passed, but with fuel prices now being very different i thought i may get a different view.i had a van for work and a frontera sport for hunting which with the price of fuel rising and everything else i decided that i would get rid of both and buy an estate.i opted for a volvo v40 which has been excellent good mpg for work but sadly does'nt do it for hunting its to low on the farmers tracks and with winter coming i could do with something i can rely on to get me off the grass and out of the mud,so in short i want to know what you think may be
we forgot the camera so had to take this when we got home. took my son jake(5) and our 1 year old lab bramble shooting this morning.both performed very well, jake is very safety concious with his gun, bramble had massive distractions as well today as it was today that the local gamekeeper decided to release the pheasant poult out onto the fields and woods.but bramble resisted the temptation to introduce herself to each and every pheasant which was very pleasing and as long as jake gets his packed lunch his mother puts him up he's had a good day.the dog certainly saves my legs haha
