My Freecycle Welsh Springer 'Ruby'
Rhyannon replied to MissPimperella's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
She is not a welsh springer head shape and colour is wrong. That is awful that she was put on freecycle how irresponsible!! I would get her to the vets and check if she is microchipped because it is not unknown for people to steal dogs, have a litter and then dispose of them through freeads etc. -
Ex-husband ............. nuff said really

Canon 40D is a nice bit of kit. I used to have the Canon 350D and then looked to upgrade and ended up changing brand totally to the pentax K10D really nice camera has taken a while to get used to it but takes some stunning shots.

what they are teaching our children in school about fox hunting
Rhyannon replied to timjim's topic in General Talk
My daughter starts school in september ..... if they try this rubbish on her I will hit the roof ...... Mind you for her most recent "show and tell" at pre-shool she her new wax jacket and her new pink ear defenders which she told them she uses when we go shooting rabbits and birds You should watch cbeebies "spring watch" ..... has my blood boiling with Bill Odie and that lot brainwashing young kids .... she can watch all the grange hill she wants I am banning her from watching "spring watch"!! -
Met her once at a charity do before she met macca you'd have thought she was royalty the way she carried on ... ignored the "little" people would not even give them the time of day .... on the other hand met some royals who have made a point of saying hello to all the staff and volunteers no matter how "important" they were or not. I am no fan of Macca but she really is a gold digging cow who somehow belives her own self importance and made up version of her life!!

thanks for the advice will definately go for two then. We are in the cotswolds looking to get the kits in spring/summer, think OH has sorted out who we will be getting the from. And probably hobs as I do want them calmer. Will get them castrated so what age should they be done? As for housing ... well that is currently in the planning just clearing a space in the garden and making sure it is well away from the dogs who I am sure will be too curious. Not into having anything large and fancy but what would be the minimum size for two so that I make sure I get something big enough ... will b

The OH has totally corrupted my daughter to the country way of life and has persuaded her that pet ferrets are far better than pet bunnies .... I am totally happy with this as living with three spaniels and terrier is not gonna be a great home for bunnies. Sooooooooo we are looking at getting her some in a few months time .... got to prepare a secure area of the garden that the dogs can't get to, get an appropriate dwelling for the furry. I was just wondering though do ferrets prefer company of another ferret or are they fine on their own .... not adverse to getting two of the same gender

Gundog group won by American Cocker, anybody see that? How that can be called a gundog .Christ knows shave off the coat and you have a good little worker. I know of several that work in a clipped off coat. Get real for christs sake ,that excuse for a gundog is an insult to genuine working dogs, Hear hear .... I looked after one for a week for a rescue and all it was good for was as a lap dog and teddy bear ...... disgrace that it is in the Gun Dog group. Mind you went last year and after an hour of watching dogs being wheeled ab

New dog / gountry show in Northumberland
Rhyannon replied to The Sporting Agent's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
The Northern English Springer Spaniel Rescue Fun day and Country Fair will be on the weekend of 26th and 27th July 2008 ..... yes it is the same weekend as the CLA but we suspect that not everyone who attended our show last year are CLA types ... long way to travel from Northumberland. Last year we ahve 2,000 + visitors in one day. This year we are doing two days. Fun dog show, Fun have a go agility, Fun Scurries, gun dog displays, falconary displays, ferrets, terriers ... arean displays, trade stalls ..... all sorts. Entry free. -
It's still can only be changed with the original owners consent, the exact process I may have got wrong as I do it as a rescue and the process is different and we keep our dogs registered to us.
-
It is actually up to the owner registered on the chip to change the details you can't do it if you are not registered as the owner. Only people who can change it without previous owners permisson are rescue centres. This stops people stealing dogs and just changing details.

New to this forum, I have 2 spaniels (springer & sprocker) ... hoping to get one of them working if I can find time to train them and stop them being complete hooligans ... also got a 4 month old Patterdale Terrier .. the other half thinks he's his ... but he knows the hand that feeds him so I reckon I have corrupted him. The other half also has an older working cocker. New to shooting, still got lots to learn.

One of my springers had her tail amputated last easter, she had come to me as a rehome so I had not been too bothered about her having a tail as she was never going to be used to work ... She started damaging mildly for about 6 months then one day took her to the beach and she ruined it in the dunes!! Luckily for me she was off to be speyed a few days after that incident so they did her tail at the same time. Took a month of crate rest and lead walks before it was all healed.
