Air Arms would get my vote. For the budget you've got i'd be tempted to go second hand. Give the classifieds on Airgun bbs a once over, often some good stuff on there.

With LACS recently setting up a prosecution unit, to work closely with the police and the CPS, with the aim of getting as many "illegal hunters" to court as possible, i would say they were as determined as ever. Moll, what your dad needs to do is give up being a British citizen and move to some far off land. Then, make his way back to Blighty ( the more illegal, the better) claim asylum, and state the swords are of cultural and religious significance. Sorted, in fact he'll probably be able to claim a grant to have them mounted on the wall. As for an 81yr old British citizen, you've got no chance.

The best i can come up with at the moment is the 1971 Animals Act, The keeper of the dog is not liable where the damage is due wholly to the fault of the person suffering it or if the livestock were killed or injured on land onto which they had strayed and either the dog belonged to the occupier or its presence was authorised by the occupier. LB, if your dogs kill a cat in your garden, and you haven't enticed it in or hindered it's escape I'm fairly sure you wouldn't get into bother. The same as if my Budgie flew into a neighbour's garden and a cat killed it, the cat wouldn't be in bother. However, in a lane or field or any public place really it could be viewed as not having your dog under control.

Echo Mad Als comment, if you can't be sure of the kill don't pull the trigger, that applies to all quarry. Shot a few pheasants lately, and a great deal of pleasure is gained from watching and waiting. And if the head shot isn't on, then they live for another day. Although Canada Geese will come under pest control and not game birds, the same applies.

Have a GOOD read through this, there are thumbnails down the left hand side. Read this Is it the disc that came with the Laptop ? If not and its already been activated on another PC you may come across problems. All the best, and be patient
