    Lisa from Greyhound Gap has asked me to make a plea fro help to anyone who may be in the Ashurst area of the New Forest , to try and find their missing Greyhound bitch "Meg". - this is the info: This is Meg: Lisa has asked if anyone is out in the area for whatever reasons, and they can help search or see Meg, they contact her on her mobile. Meg vanished from "Deer Leap Enclosure" if that means anything to the locals.

    Actually Ianm, there are another 12 dogs kenneled outside too and yes, I gave up my job to work with the dogs and I also look after my disabled mum and my 3 kids. Walking the dogs usually takes about 5 hours a day as I do most of them for about 20 mins twice a day in groups of 4 - 6 depending on who I'm walking, On the good side, it means I get a feel for the dogs' characters and what makes them tick so I can work out what sort of home they'd be best in On the downside, I get through a lot of waterproof coats

    I have (today) 15 dogs IN MY HOUSE ranging in ages from 3 months to 14 years and we have cats, ferrets, chickens, gerbils and a rabbit (Attila the Bun - found in the middle of the road ) ..........there WILL be a dog for you out there, honest

    Please don't tar all rescues with the same brush Yes some of the are so tied up with red tape that they might as well not bother trying to rehome a dog...............but I hope we keep our "rules" as flexible as possible on Lurcher Link . At the end of the day all we want is for Lurchers to go to GOOD homes where they will be well cared for all their lives. We are not in rescue for the people, we are there for the dogs and if we don't think a home which is offered for a dog is right for that dog, then we will advise the potential adopters of the reasons why.
