  4. im very impressed with that ! i have done a fair bit of night vision shooting with fac and air rifles . i think this set up is great value for money , the only down side is the head position because of the layout of the nv unit . but that is more than compensated for by the £200 you save compared to the other digital nv units . for the cost of an adjustable stock for both length and hight you have a perfect nv set up comparible to good gen 2 for less than £500 amasing . a few questions tho . on the clip he is able to focus the image .is that through the paralax on the ags swat or

    Hi All

[alright jas im in lincolnshire mate but im bird less untill me spar hatches . all the birds are moulting so you will have to wait til late summer to get out with any one . if you can get over to mine i will take you out in season no bother at all. in the mean time get colecting all the gear you will need glove swivels etc you will be realy happy you did before you get the bird cos there is loads of stuff you need and it get s a bit dear.
  12. iv never been before so cant compare ! but we had a good time, met loads of faces spend a good few quid etc and got to see the birds you dream of owning. i will defo go again even if its just to meet up with all those old faces you meet over the years. between me and a mate we killed of a grand in the 5 hours we where there.
  13. hello lads me and a good friend will be going this sunday is any body else comming ? im about broke and only want a few bits but matie is gona spend a fortune (should be good to watch)
  14. to do it with rolph you will needto folks one to lamp one to slip the hawk. you will need a small head torch or hand torch for orting kills and recall. get rid of his bells and put on a night light and tellematry. im gona get my bird going from the car this year mate then progress to walking the feilds. but lamping its self you want moonless nights wiy a littel wind and a tini amount of rain. you want towalk in to the wind or make sure its not blowing on the you quarry as it will clear them. you need to get all the stuff that makes noise out of your pockets and tape up buckles
  15. whats the bull and bull cros there for mate ? or is that a dumb ass question.
  16. the way around it is training when there pups ! there are tones of differant ways and everyone has there own. with older dogs its just a matter of perseverance. and keep working on that recall. i whistle me dogs out lamping but i wistle through me teeth. its high pitch and sounds like a bird. it dont seem to bother the rabbits at all. back to training as pups. we take um to our local footy pitch from 12 weeks old and between two of us recall from one goal post to the other . if you neel down all most any dog will come to you straight away.(its pack behavour that signal
  17. its defo accipiter but has small thick feet . so im not sure , ovampo spar or the tini one they have in south africa.

    HOW BIG

got to agree there. BUT there is tryed and tested routes with beginers and there first birds. i helped two lads last season a total novice and a second year . i found them both very taxing to help . the first year listened to every thing i said then asked again then egnored it all.. he lost his first bird with full gear on leash swivel the lot never to be seen again. egnored my request to wait and read up got a pere lanner that is now a pet never been flown. he then whent out bought a pair of white gyrs for breeding a grey gyrkin and a per falcon that had been raised togeather. i have n
  21. in the bull world there are dogs tested holding CH status that are noted as producers. they are rear !!! in an ideal world we would all run dogs from lines that are tryed and tested . as part of that anything that was rased tested and found wanting would be killed as in the bull world. we would all choose proven producers . this is not unherd of in lurcher as with the saluki lads and there corsing hounds. its a real deep CLASsIC argument this one about gamnes that will runn for another 400 years im sure. as for bull blood in lurchers i cant real comment as i have had t
