  1. only number 5 left 3 knife blanks to sell. All in 01 tool steel, heat treated and tempered, you can shine them up from here (or leave them as they have a good working finish) fit handles or as always “the gaffer” on here will handle and sheath them if you ask him (he does a great job of them!)   4. i bet it will ! i gave one of these to a proper butcher for xmass it was the same shape but had buffalo handles he was so taken back by it at first from its shape , then he held it ................... for months he was looking for ways to use it at work !! said thats a proper knife one you can use and admire .. weird shape maybe but its out of my head and whop knows what happens in there but the grip and hold of them is something else !! very nice work rob .
  5. sheath looks good ! there is some very difficalt grinding in them pumas !! rackaboot is yours beat up ? it might be better if it is ha ha can get inside it and really work from the inside out . look like seka stag antler or something on them , the bolts are hard core to on them !!

  10. this is the second hellmando, skycat from the the hunting life commisioned for her husband as a birthday gift . again hand forged and is as close as i could get to the original !! same materials ,same aproach but i had to cut the steel more than forge it to get is so close . i have a step by step photo work in progress for this if anybody wants to see it ? its long but documents the process well ! and this is what it all began as !!! just paper and files !! little and large , a greek copice (big fella) and my mother in laws walking knife . she wanted a pocket kn
  11. some of you have seen alot of these but i just want to show i dont just do laser cut 01 blanks . alot of these are hand forged by me , i dont know if folks know the differance between that and stock removal knife making but its huge , first and formost im a blade smith and thats not cutting shapes out of steel its forging with heat hammer and anvil . you will form the peice close as you can to the finnished blade . a blade smith and a knife maker are two very differant things , and i class my self as both but with biouse towards blade smith . i rarly use grinders and most are worked with file

  14. hi you need a board you can stretch the skin over that will accept pins or something to staple it down. stretch out the skin pin it down and rub salt of alum on it . leave it in a dry warm place and let it cure , change the salt if it smells bad or takes up to much liquid . once it properly dry it will be like paper . you need to tan it from there you can use allsorts of things but one easy one is to use the brain . every animals brain is enough to treat its pelt . rub it in and pull and tease at the skin till is supple . i used to do this stuff all the time when i was a kid i dint like th
  15. the blade is 3 3/4inch and just over 1 inch wide its 4mm thick to ... but its under off from a very good customer on here so if it sells we will just have to make you another ! all the best matt.
  16. hi guys here we have a knife that me and the gaffer did togeather , i did the metal work and the gaffer the wood and leather . i hope you agree WE did a good job defo a bargin for 100% british custom hand made knife , there will never be one like it ever so its genuine one off !!! this is up for £70 posted to your door !!!! yes thats right £70 its more inline with the £180-£200 this is a 01 toold steel blanks heat treated to hrc 57-59 with 120 grit then polish on the flats and 600 to mirrior polish on the edge , its shaving sharp and will stay that way unless you try to cut stupid thin

  19. just got the gaffers knife here its beautiful the pictures just dont tell the truth at all about this knife . im gonna run the buffer over it and get some pictures . again its realy nice and well worth the £70 he is looking for thats posted to !
  20. thanks again guys . how do pro stalkers cope then they have large numbers to cull and lots of land to cover . if you are perfitiant and practiced and you can see safly out to 300 you should not take the shot ? also why not use balistic tips i know its an attempt to limet meat damage but it could help with not wounding ? there must be if not there will be call for a medium blaistic effect bullet ? maybe limeting damage but erupting heart and lungs ? or neck shot with proper balistic tips so the meat damage is not on prime cuts (butcher in me thinking here )
