    thats the stuff guys , it wants to be rusty with black grease on it really , any sort of treatment/ dip/ galvernised stuff and i will die forging it ha ha .. this stuff looks horrible unforged proper scrap rubbish , yet its perfect !! im happy to make a knife for who ever can get some of it FOC if they can get me a good length of it . this stuff is only just over 1" in diamiter , if we could find some goingin to 2" that would be amasing , but i would take any you could find !1 so are we saying it was succesful stuff then ? all the best , matt

    yes sorry there multi pics of the same knives there is just 10 in total , two are sold sold and one under negotiation ! thanks kev there is some hard work in that lot im glad it shows !!

    lets have this lot gone #3 £15 posted thats cheap as i can go lads , ok there probably not the pretiest but worth a punt !! the damascus on is properly hand forged etc so that is stupid cheap . as the title say this lot will be the last ones for a time as i have other things i need to consentraight on for a month to 6 weeks . but when im back making again i should have more equipmet to help me make them faster so it will be all guns blazing from then on . if you have asked for a knife and i dont get round to making it in time for you before this break please let me apoligise now

    all done no warps , and reckon it looks great !! its pissing sharp to . no warps now and its got a really good grind , and superb temper , i really do like it , its not easy to photo . any one that bought it would see what i mean its a 3d effect you need to see in your own hands !!

    sorry if it comes across as a sales pitch , but i will have some metal you guys can put between them beautiful exotic scales this week . some pattern welded stuff and some stainles and a carbon blade i think is spare . they look very nice rob !! and fair price for not so easy to find timber !! all the best , matt

    at least the balistic tips will only heavily damage the vitals and some bony areas of the carcase . 50 yard balistic tip with back stop gotta be the way , god forbid something went wrong, you can document that all aspects of safety where considered and implimented before any shots where fired !! id want balistic tips in a full bore over a slug in a 12g , iv talked to alot of guys who have shot boar etc with them and there not idea from the sound of it , there tragectory is rainbow like and they richoche like mad im told , one guy who is semi profesional stalker and guide , shot boar in italy

    what about balistic tips ? limeted chance if any of pass through to upper rib cage from a downwards shot from a high seat ! some meat damage , so what its pest control , they need gone and loin and haunches will still be fine ? you could as suggested put up feed stations with bales of wet straw as back stops to absorb any fragments that might pass through .

    no i dont really , as i said in other posts iv worked in criminal justice for a number of years , and there attitude is shocking , iv attended training with police precent and there so out of touch most of the time and have this im judge dred attitude "im the law " its not acceptable in my veiw or many that i worked with !! they could offer a far superior service for the money if they could aproch it with more manners and less im the law crap . lets be realistic the police dont actualy keep anyone safe never have , you dont have to look far in any news paper or news report !! as i said to t

    bloody hell there is loads there !!! fingers crossed it wont be long and i will have the £5k i need to go full proffesional with this lot , but looking at all those feels like i all ready have !! the damascus one is just free hand forged off cut of damascus , the idea is to just go with it and make something you can hold and use but not conventional in design . i was thinking it would make a nice easy neck knife for little jobs , but kev likes it and would want to handle it . which is also fine , red stag tine would look good i reckon on it ? thanks for posting them guys . all the best

    thanks fellas , iv just heat treated it with a couple of bushcrafters im doing , and it needs more normalising in future its warped a bit but nothing i cant fix . all the those twists want to undo at critical heat , and because they cant the metal gets super stressed and warps . alot of grinding and a destress/ sensative temper will sort that out .

    they all sound usful !! i have no idea what a buck rake tine is tho ? i think its called shear steel for that sort of thing !! i never travel ha ha . to on my arse and the car is not the best !! maybe other ways to get it tho !

    good pattern int it ? bit snake skin like , good new is is faster to make than normal masucs so cheaper ha ha but i dont have much and when its gone its gone bit like aldi . if any of you ever find this stuff let me know please , it cant have any sort of galvernised finnish or zinc there all toxic as f**k so i cant use them , but anything with bitchamin or rust is good . any old files would be good to or wood saw like the hand held ones from B&Q . iv got 20 od kilos of knickel steel on its way so need the carbon dark contrast steel now . all the best , matt.

    im going to apeal it and told them that on the spot (if i am refused) i have 28 days from the ferusal letter to apeal through a solicator . il will as well . il just have to make and sell 3,000 knives to pay for it !! the police dont do much to make you like them do they !!

    well iv been reading about cable damascus for ages and never found any , then on a walk the other week i was some sticking out a soil bank in an old quarry . quick look and yep its what i needed . i tried to cut it with a hack saw and 4 blades later and an hours sold sawing and it was hardly cut at all so , quick ebay session sees me with a cordless angle grinder and 1mm cutting disc . its weird stuff must have been a crane or winch drot in there 100 years ago or something ? anyway i got a meter and half of it and set to . pics say it all really . my beautiful lady helped me twist it and
