I spent a nice afternoon today with me dad ,having a chat about some of the things that he did as a kid etc then it turned to what things have stuck in our minds either in the field or wildlife in general . My dad reminded me of an incident that happened to him a few years ago , he was rolling the fields in the tractor and noticed a hare in its form the next line would of brought him over the top of it but obviously he went round it as he did he stopped right next to it watching it from his cab feet from it when the hare gave birth to leveret . It brought a big smile to his face today recall

  19. Hi fellas thanks for the ideas , the fishing pond is only small and I'm not sure I can just make it larger as the land is rented .its probably not going to be for a couple of years atleast ,like I said it's my dad's place he goes to get away from it all and he has no interest in working the as such . I will take over sooner rather than later but while he is still enjoying it I'd rather him enjoy it than think I've pushed him out

  21. Ok so We rent ten acres with a small fishing pond ,no electric or running water could you make a living on it . I spend a lot of time their and we've rented it for over 30 years my dad has no interest in making money from it he's happy to pay the rent to enjoy peace and quiet . I was having a think today could I give up work and make a living from being where I love being . I could do what I want on it and have money to invest .
