  8. I personally would find another vet thats more interested in helping your pup ten questioning her breeding....my old vet argued with me that my bitch was a lurcher because she was too tall to be crossed with anything so she must be a greyhound end of, he didnt even look at her foot the reason she was there...needless to say i dont go there anymore... Hope your pup is ok....Atb Miss T x
  9. I hate people like that....they honestly souldnt be allowed to have dogs.....i always make sure my dogs are under control especially in a situation like that its common sense and it doesnt effect your dogs walk its just manners.....where i walk mine theres alot of narrow path ways so if we meet other dog walkersi always pull mine to the side and let them pass as the lurcher can be funny in tight spaces where she cant get away....the looks i get are horrendous as if my dogs have done something wrong....that or they ignore their dog let it harrass mine whilst going 'oh he/she is fine' im like th

  13. Ok i'l admitt right now that i have no idea about gundogs......don't get me wrong i know the breeds and the general gist of what their job entails but other then that not a clue but reading this post has confused me.....I would of thought 'Labringers' and Springadors' where the same cross just people being picky over the New Breed Name....after all both Breed Names suggest each cross both have Labrador and Springer Spaniel in its make up..... And as for the breeding with an already docked tail....as good as that is in the field i thought that although docking for astheticly pleasing reason
  14. Not to sure .. maybe ata guess 5-6 weeks ago give or take, when i stripp him it grows back quite quick, ive noticed since clippin him that its taken ages just to get a little nbit of length back to it. If you dont mind me asking wha clippers and blade did you use? x no named ones i lent from a mate. job was nice when it was first done, but after taken ages growing back and the texture was bad I was just wondering if the were a particular make with a seperate blade to attatch of different lengths eg.a 4F, 5F or a 7F or if they were pet grooming ones generally made by

  16. There is a chance that his coat may not re-grow harsh...but having said this my friend who is also a groomer used to clip her Miniture Schnauzer (for about 4years) and thought she would see if the coat would return harsh.....which it did not fully but more or less but this took nearly a year and a half with only light trimming until it was stripppable....as you have only clipped him the once you may be lucky if he is entire as well that could go in your favour as castrating/spaying a dog/bitch 95% of the time softens the coat and gives it a fluffy texture..... Just a waiting game at the mo

    FACTS

On average 13 people a year die by being rushed by a vending machine..... An adult grizzly bear can decapitate a moose with one swipe of its paw. ... Blue smarties were first introduced in 1988 There are only 4 words in the English language which end in 'dous': tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous. Mother-in-law is an anagram of Woman Hitler. In Cleveland, Ohio, it's illegal to catch mice without a hunting license. ..............x
  20. Your could try Silver Nitrate Sticks if you can get them from your vets(not sure if they would sell them to an owner)....its what we use at work if a quick s caught an i have used it on my lurchers ear when she caught it on barbed wire.....if you use them you need to get the end wet before you put it on the area and dont lick your fingers to do this because it stains...lol....and as previously said bandaging the ear to the dogs head may help to stop it from re-opening when the dog shakes.....or you could use Quick Stop Powder available from a grooming site.... Hope this helps Atb Miss
