thanks. yes i seen blackmouth curs. people use them on a wide range of animals. anything from tree rats to hogs.

here`s two coyotes we took on sunday after having a bad day on saturday,with a hound being hit and killed by a train during a chase.

thanks for the welcome everyone. african, what do you use your blueticks on? also is it a tough to ship dogs overseas? i have a fellow in finland that wants me to sell him a few redbones for lynx. i like the looks of your jagds and would like to know more about them.

yes, the big hound in the photo does kill yotes. the others will hold them at bay till i get there, then i just let them go to run another day most of the time.

if i had more open country to run a greyhound, then they would be able to catch a yote. the land around here is mostly wooded, so you need scent hounds. alot of people in the mid-west run stags for yotes, but still run 3-4 at a time to dispatch a coyote. as for smaller dogs they are useally dinner for coyotes. around here the coyotes kill labs, retreivers and terriers alot. a person down the way just had 2 of their jack russells killed by a yote the other day. it`s all about the chase, not the kill.

i have ran mt.lion before when i lived out west, but not anymore that i moved back east.

the weight of that hound is 90 lbs, that coyotes went around 60 lbs. coyotes don`t hole up, so some of my chases go over 6 hrs. i like to try to get all my hounds some good running, that`s why i sometime run a few hounds.
