  6. I see why people who have owned working Lurchers for a number of years get a bit piss*d off when they attend shows - either with their dogs or not. Only being in my middle 20's I only get to see my pictures my parents took 30 years ago of Lambourn and shows friends helped with in the 80's.. You can defiantly see the change in stamp/breed of today's Lurcher; being breed for different purposes I attend quite a few gamefairs; I help a club and run my own show for 'LurcherLink' - I am very pleased I do as I have meet some great people and enjoy having a laugh in the evenings once the public
  7. There's a chap based between Gloucester and Cheltenham - I went as try to avoid vets but if its more than just bones, more than likely not completley solve the problem. in my bitches case:( Now seeing a canine therapy lady - which deals with deep tissue/ligaments etc.. Been twice now and unbelievable difference it has made. Hasn't been sound for 6 months and talking about giving her a free run soon, well worth the money. Best of luck
  8. Best of luck with the show - only 5 miles down the road, hopefully I haven't got anything clashing this year as missed the last few years;)

  14. Some cracking looking dogs A few of mine which have small percentage of deerhound in their blood. Breed my old lurcher x lurcher to a deerhound / beardie lurcher. 3 rough pups from the litter one of the pups with her sire @ 10 months old. Bella at 3 years old & nine weeks after having pups at 5 years old. I then breed the above bitch to a whippet/greyhound - hoping to simplify the cross and end outcome. However this wasn't the case and had an allround mixture - Only pup we had to advertise got sold to chap on the site. This is Celt, 2 in July and
  15. Not going to the show but have been to Burghley before.. With any of Lurcherworld shows - make sure you follow the 'lurcher parking' signs as its only £5 per adult and free for kids, which is a big reduction on general admission prices. got to have a lurcher with you though;) Not masses there like bigger gamefairs but if weather is decent and remember to take your own food it's not too expensive - I try and get to a couple of their shows a year as there is a red mills rep present, £11 a sack so covers your entrance fee on savings compared to Internet prices..
