  1. Both together probably don't add up to the more popular digging terriers, personally I have beddies but would be surprised if they were the more prolific
  2. All the above comments could be attributed to any breed, you just have to do your homework then decide which is for you.
  3. I had similar with a single peg recently and was thinking of trying doubles, just shows can happen to either.
  4. Minkstone is a kennel prefix that belonged to SS
  5. Ask where he got them, find out what the parents are doing then its your choice.
  6. Went out with the bedlingtons, checked a few empty ones, found one with a good mark but preciously close to a billy home so decided to leave it alone, moved on to a different spot, dug and dispatched one. A seasoned old charlie with a few front teeth missing and a broken incisor, he's probably seen a terrier before just not Floyd.
  7. Certainly not the norm, tho I have seen one with a curl in its tail
  8. Should be fine with the Barryvox you will just need to work out the ratio. I use mine with an Arva which 1 = 18"
  9. No SJ, 1 = 18" on mine it is an Arva box and Ortovox collar
  10. Went out today over to the permission with Floyd and his apprentice Jewels. Dogs out the box check all the gear and head off to the first set of holes, the dogs have a decent look about and decide they are not holding so off round the hill. The dogs are covering a fair bit of ground as we get round the hill to where I know there is a hole. The dogs stop and appear to be checking something out but as I am down hill a bit (all looks the same in the snow) I head back up. Floyd has the collar on so in he enters while I hold Jewels away. A couple of minutes pass then we get the baying, game on. Spi
  11. Headed out this morning to arrive at permission about 9 30, to find it had been snowing and was still tho' only just, spot on I thought should be in luck. Walked round the land for 3 1/2 hrs checking 7 lots of earths but nothing in this time. Good thing was the young bitch traveled her share of earths, ones I knew would be "easy" starters for her should charlie be in obviously they were then rechecked with the dog. Was pleased how things progressing just waiting for the day when it rumbles under foot, cant be far away now.
  12. Same dog with the bitch looking to enter, she has been in the ground but not yet encountered
