  1. I can agree with the CZ 452 a cracking bit of kit out of the box, I however sold mine and bought a 10/22, mainly as I like tinkering with stuff, which the ruger is ideal for, the accuracy can be vastly improved with some money spent on it, but will never be anywhere as good as the 452. But it does the job and being as short as mine is its cracking wee gun for lamping from the comfort of the car
  2. Another wee clean out this time of the secondary gun cupboard, found a Webley Air Rifle Pump that i have no use for, it's seen very little use and is going for £60 posted for £55 collected. Also have a scuba tank that ran out of test thats going cheap only after £15 for that but will not post so thats collection only. Cheers Karl
  3. As the header says I have a brand new in package with all tags etc Deerhunter Champ Deluxe Shooting vest in Black, ideal for someone into both sporting and clay shooting was an unwanted gift. It's too big and I do very little shotgun shooting at the moment anything. This is the exact jacket, very lightweight so good for the summer evening roost shooting, plenty of pocket space for carts. Looking for £34 Posted or possibly swap if you have something interesting. Cheers
  4. Got a mate selling a bsa ultra full kit like i'll ask him what he's after, carlisle area
  5. Midway UK, they normally have plenty of tackle
  6. They are Andy, and they're yours bud. I've sent you a reply via PM
  7. Anyone here fancy 300 rounds of RWS rimfire rounds, my semi auto doesn't like them shame as my CZ loved them!! Im after £20 for them, Carlisle area and obviously FAC rules apply. Cheers Karl
  8. Just been ratching in the cupboard and found an old moderator, as far as i can remember it came off an old webley fx2000 air rifle, It looks a decent sturdy mod, just wondered if it would be suitable to put on my 22 rimmie, I have the required slot on the ticket and already have a SAK which i swap between my 17hmr and the .22. I'll put a picture up and see what you guys think. Cheers Karl
  9. Cheers fella, i'll look into getting a tuned spring. Karl
  10. Well folks, haven't had an air rifle for ages but my mate offered me back my old BSA lightning that i sold him a few years ago. So i snapped it up, handy for garden work and knocking the crows off at work i thought. Well i haven't had a springer since selling him this one but my god its twangy, more twangy then usual so i stripped and cleaned it thoroughly, and although its alot smoother its still a noisy fecker for what it is. So i'm wondering would a gas ram eliminate some of the noise and how much/ how easy and where do i find one? All the best Karl
  11. Ace, there's a unmodded norica 3 shot in Gardners Guns in Longtown, i know it's hardly on your doorstep but its not far off bud! Mines a 4 gun cabinet, has 3 rifles and 3 shotguns in it, 2 of the shot guns are broken down. Cheers Karl
  12. I have a 12" barrel on mine and its fine the dealer I had it transferred to was also sceptical as to wether the barrel was too short to burn all the powder but after 4 months vie had no problems whatsoever.
  13. £45 for 500 RWS Subs and bout the same for Winchester super X just depends which shop I'm in that said I find the RWS very waxy and clart up my 10/22 mags something chronic!
  14. I did the same as murdo, and wouldn't change a thing ... Love my 10/22 and aslong as it's kept clean they're a cracking bit of kit for lamping out the 4x4 (mine has a 12inch barrel on it so compact) does the job on bunnies out to 70 yards any further and we use the .17HMR ... As for 250 yard shooting with a .22 that's just irresponsible shooting at it's finest!
  15. I was lucky enough to be granted centrefire on my first certificate but as you said it's all down to the issuing force. 17hmr is a cracking round no doubt about that but it's accuracy is seriously affected by windy conditions. So go For both bud.
  16. 177 is an air rifle calibre bud, 17HMR is the rimfire round! As for a moderator yes you will need to apply for one. As for which one I'd pick it depends on the range you'd be shooting the rabbits at, the hmr is flat flying and will give you a decent amount more range but is also a more expensive round and a bit louder then the .22. Apply for both bud. As for having fox on your ticket maybe you should look into a .22 centrefire round (hornet,220,222,223 and 22-250) as some police forces wont allow rimfire for fox control.
  17. Lol they been hitch hiking like mate? Cracking set up there Al, think I'll start saving for a leupold for on top of mine.
  18. It's a fair size but I'd bet there is bigger knocking about.
  19. Haha yis bud I saw a nice pre ban fallow you had! Cheers JD
  20. My thoughts exactly Matt! Think I might start homeloading and try it with my 22-250
  21. Cheers fella nah I haven't yet bud as far as I know there's nix about our neck of the wood... Unless you know something I don't!
