  1. The toilet things is strange. When Brian was in it, because its so big he would use the sleeping area and outside in the run. Before the self the girls just used the run. After i put the shelf in they crapped on the shelf. I then put all the towels and sheets on the shelf, they now use the run again So they are using the on-suite
  2. No I had the cage made I'm not that clever
  3. Mine did sue. I then chucked a load of sheets on it. I dont think they will now
  4. Was up B&Q so I bought some wood and put a shelf in for the girls. I chucked some old blankets and towels up there and they think its fantastic. They have not stopped running around and burrowing under the sheets. Superb!!!!
  5. My vet told me an interesting fact. In the "Old Days" Ferret keepers used to bring the females out of season with a Glass Tube
  6. I paid £95 inc drip and all that kind of stuff. Brian is back home and the vet said he took a good 4cm of the pipe out so it will have no chance of growing back. He is back in his cage tonight eating away. back to the vets tomorrow for a post op checkup which is included in the price. I have put hay in his sleeping quaters tonight for extra warmth.
  7. Fingers Crossed. Gonna clean his cage out and disinfect for his return

  9. I tried Vinegar on our 2 new girls. Works on the bigger Auntie, but her neice, who is a little fiesty loves the stuff and licks it off, then wants to fight with you more I have told my son to tap them on the side of the mouth when they bite? Good or not? They dont really bite, just nip. They are playfull buggers.
  10. Here's a question. Should you remove your Hob around nowish as Jills will e comming into season or is there another system? I mean do Jills shows signs of comming into season without them still unable to fall pregnant?
  11. I showed them Brian from outside the cage. Brian was chattering to them and they were chatting back
  12. What a difference. Playing jumping, Chattering etc etc. Love Em
  13. Well we transfered Brian to the original hutch this morning in preperation for the girls arrival. Not sure if he has the hump cos he is running round like a loon making chimp noises and throwing sawdust everywhere
  14. Thanks all. My concern was I could not have them all in together after the post op cool down
  15. Nope, my own vets are gonna match the price So I can put them all in together after breeding season?
  16. So I should keep the boy seperate from the chicks at all times? Even when breeding is over? I thought they could go in together?
  17. I have 2 Jills arriving tomorrow. Not sure if they are in season yet, doubt it. Brian goes in for the Knot on Friday. My question is..... Should I keep Brian in the big hutch on his own? Should I give the 2 girls the hutch and Brian in the little one or vis-versa Or should Brian go in the small hutch and not be introduced to the girls until the vet says he can. I hope that makes sense.
