  4. it would depend on whether or not you have your own fac,i asked my feo to check it out for the same thing. i wanted to shoot with my mate with his spare rifle untill mine came back from gunsmiths......This is what he sent me back via email...................................................... Hi (my name) Its a strange one this, thats why I wanted to check it with my most senior colleague. On the face of it it would appear you can. But looking deeper into the legislation it seems you can't. If the other shooter, (your buddy), was the land owner of the land in question, he could all
  5. its not for plotting charts on a ship is it
  6. Callum as above be yourself, unless your a numpty ( just kidding ) just try and find out about what they do so they know, that you know what the factory is all about.they usually fire a few senario's at you just to see how you answer, whether right or wrong it doesn't matter, they analyse you how you answer and most questions are nothing to do with the job your applying for.at our place one of the mates went for interview and just got pipped to the post ,i asked the manager how he got on and he said he had a great interview but he never mentioned the end product what was made.thats how petty it
  7. there is some cracking pics of spaniels, got any pics to put up of Sam .........pipcock
  8. Might be different in other areas but they should be no mention of the land you shoot on ,on your fac so they should be no amendments to be done.all the other things apply though ,safety checks etc. Then they will let you know if you can shoot on there with your calibre you chose. pipcock
  9. you will find out soon enough, anyway all the best ,mate

  14. If ther is a good point where to shoot from but looks a bit dicey, would it be worth putting a cheap high seat in somewhere. We have the same problem with some land we've got ,flat as a pancake ,but now ok with high seats ,we even use a mobile one we can hitch on to a tow bar ..........just a thought . pipcock
  15. Well from what you have said there,if he does get one i think the issuing officer / chief of police should be sacked for such a decision, but thats just my opinion

  19. Using a 20 bore i use high pheasant 25g 6s for all my days ,partridge /pheasant and had no bother . my mate who also shoots with a 20 bore uses classic 23g 6s in his s/s and never had a problem with those at all ranges ,just wondering with so many heavy loads and the short distances mentioned if many of the birds are any good for the pot sorry just realised ,the question was about 12 bore
  20. your right there D, mechanically same as with most shotgun grades, mine was for game shooting only,so i got the the field model sp 5 and its got a really nice action, but each to there own with the design, but like you say you cant go wrong with any beretta really. atb pipcock
  21. I think it all depends on grade as well because you have 1 to v in that model, i think ,have a good search on web to give you an idea but the higher grade ones are still well over a grand, and around £2500 new .atb
