  1. Hi Lads and I suppose, lassess, when asking to have my FAC changed from a closed cert to a open one do i just send the paperwork in first or send the lot in .Cert , letters, extra land permissions etc all together, recorded delivery. cheers pipcock
  2. thats the thing you just cant do that anymore ,this is why you need to have a little read up on the law ,if your wanting to get permission to shoot somewhere so you can work your way up to getting a firearms licence for a rimfire or centrefire rifle you dont want to be caught breaking the law getting there..............You have to have a walk round or drive to farms and basically knock on doors and ask mate.
  3. firstly you have to go and ask for it off the landowners/farmers and you cant be serious about the second bit are you if your new to shooting and not sure whats what ,i would look on the net and have a quick read up on the air rifle law it will give you an insight into where you can and cant shoot
  4. http://www.opticswar...ikkoEuro31256IR have a look at the Nikko range, nice bit of kit for the money.
  5. thats so true ,how stupid ,i was always taught ,give it the missus to have a look
  6. as above...........some pics would be great
  7. I think you will hit more pigeons shooting with your natural instinct , wait, wait, wait , gun up = bang = dead pigeon .....if you start trying to work speed / lead etc by the time you've worked it all out worrying where to put the shot its gone. atb pipcock ....................keep practicing
  8. if you are keeping the rifle its ok, but if you are selling it after shortening and rethread , i was led to believe you have to have it reproofed before sale .
  9. Yes me ,and it worked ,i can now use one with or without one fitted ,it corrected my eye into mounting the gun correctly.... ps ,pitty your not closer you could have tried mine ..... well the thought was nice did you do the checks it tells you to do on the website and eveything? im just weary on spending 20-30 quid on something that 'might' work, (call me cheap but i just want to know ) when i bought my first gun my good friend and firearms dealer tested me for eye dominance ,found i was left eye but shot right shoulder .i then tried one at a game fayre ,it worked so i ordered one
  10. Yes me ,and it worked ,i can now use one with or without one fitted ,it corrected my eye into mounting the gun correctly.... ps ,pitty your not closer you could have tried mine .....
  11. i've been out today with 243 to check my sighting in and and i've ended up with it an inch high at 100 yrd seems to suit me ok ,but after shooting from bench and rest i thought i would have a few shots to practice off the sticks, bad idea, its done my confidence a world of good .NOT, the wind got up and i could hardly keep it on the A4 sheet of paper never mind near the bull ,after it settled down a bit i was getting groups within the dreaded 4" circle ...practice practice practice.
  12. i also know a experienced coach that leaves them on or fits them...... if you are left eye dominant and shoot off the right shoulder or right eye dominant and shoot off the left shoulder ,read up people on the easyhit site and understand what they are intended for ,its nothing to do with looking at the bead instead of your target its all about tricking your brain in correcting your vision. it learns / trains and tells you that you are mounting the gun correctly after you have masterd that you can get shut of it ..... ps. loads of people who are new to shooting or even old hands at the gam
  13. type this in to search bar on here ,we was just on about these the other day earlier thread on here ........ FIBER OPTIC BEADS ON SHOTGUN'S
  14. thats for when your using a variable mag scope ,if you wind it down so your quarry looks a medium size you can shoot it
  15. paulus your not telling me there is a variation across the forces are you but that would make it very confusing lol ,its a bloody mine field out there......
  16. I think there is a bit of confusion here ,when you put in for an FAC for target shooting they dont usually let you buy expanding ammo, but when you ask for it ,for hunting etc they allow you to purchase expanding ammo ............Mr tea pot ,the part you are showing on your FAC (A) is for ammo not the rifle .........what does the rest of No5 say ,is there any mention of deer ,if there is its definitely a cock up ,other wise its fine ,i,m sure someone will rip me to pieces if i,m wrong. atb pipcock
  17. cheers bunnyslayer ,at the end of the day its down to budget as well as taste, all rifles mentioned on the thread are spot on,good luck making your choice ,enjoy the headache
  18. on your other post you spent an extra £200 for a different rifle because you didn't like the trigger guard on the CZ ,no wonder you spent more than you first thought ,control yourself !!!!!..........Your hooked now your going to spend hundreds more . And tegatertt tegattgater I am suprised that my wife is not suprised, how many things were on Special Offer !!! spot on there mate
  19. I ended up with the CZ American Varmint 452 16"..... trigger not as good as the 455 but a £10 trigger kit sorted that ,cant fault it
  20. no worries moocher,as long as the gun fits ok using it left handed and the dominant eye is looking down the rib you should be ok ,you dont need the bead ,and shooting game etc can be totally different to shooting clays,i know a lot of decent clay shooters that cant hit birds .... pipcock ps....good idea moonlighter ,block the light out and see if theres a difference....
  21. If your talking about this one I think its main use is for correcting your eye dominance,it should only attract the eye which is looking down the rib of your shot gun, heres a link to have a look at it will explain it better...... http://www.easyhit.c...CFYsntAod-W-UOA i personally thought they were brill when i started shooting because i shoot off the right shoulder but i'm left eye dominant so it helped me loads. If your talking about another sort then ignore the above  .pipcock ps,also good in low light ,duck shooting etc
  22. i'd say whichever feels better when handling them ,try them both you'll know what feels right for you, i've got CZ but i think both are ok
  23. :clapper: fantastic, i was going to email Ianb yesterday to do it ,well done to the moderators for picking up on this ,its happening far too much lately.....oh yes nearly forgot did you manage to get any info billy_
