I have not tried the range but I saw a lot of it in Russia, I had the deerhunter stuff and my friend the geologic. I had a good look (she had told me how cheap) It was well made, tough, and warm. the only thing the deer hunter range had that the Geologic didn't was the quiter outside layer. (Cant remember what they call it) I will be buying the cheaper stuff in future. Best I can do, hope it's some help. Danny
