  1. Iv been lamping and ferreting with Willow and dave many times. Shes a very good bitch all round her mother was a coursing greyhound called craven lady.
  2. Daves dogs are tested all over the world they are taking coyote in america and from kangaroo to wild boar in australia. Hes recently sent one to florida where they are entered on fox before moving onto coyote, sounds to me like its the place to be!! Over there they tend use reverse 3/4s and 1/2 crosses but what im getting at is that they are being tested thoroughly. After useing mike browns whippet 21" glen strike while the irons hot over my 27" 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhound I have a litter of cracking pups which have been bred for my own use. These pups are 1/2 whippet 3/8 greyhound 1
  3. Whilst walking around a local res my old lurcher came trotting back looking very pleased with him self and dropped a live cray fish at my feet I couldn't belive it lol

  5. I start mine in good shape at 12 months on the lamp and make there life as easy as posible. I also start there second season off the same and never had a problem with a dog not giving 100%. Keep her winning early on and ul have a winner for life!!
  6. This is my 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhound at about 12 months old And this is Dave Platts 1/2 cross Willow Dam of my bitch and her sire is Dave Sleights nobbys lad both bitchs have great feet.
  7. Can you get the boxes serviced anywhere? iv got a ferret n terrier box both with faults?? Iv got the new one too but the noise it makes is shocking

  9. Here is my smooth coated 14 month old 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhound and Dave Platts rough coated 1st cross willow the mother of mine u cant beat a bit of deerhound!!

After my 3/4 beady/border wrote his self off this time last year at 8, I started reading working deerhounds by Bill Doherty great book! it made my mind up anyway n iv now got a 1/4dh 3/4gh bred by dave platts. This is my 3rd running dog and by far the easiest to train, she has done everything well so far good nose, loves to jump, silent in the kennel and the best feet out of all 3. upto now iv only ferreted N mooched about with her n the terrier's n she has caught 15 rabbits id love to be out lamping but im gonna hold on till she's 12 month. I dont no if my collie cross was that bright he trye

A friend of mine has had a litter of pups and has 2 dog's and 3 bitches left he used Dave Platts stud dog which is a halfcross deerhound greyhound over his bitch Tara a great striking allround bitch and she is a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie.   13. Im sure Doxhope was the name of Bill Dohertys kennel theres a web site too but he stuck to 1/2 crosses its 3/4 id like to find out about somebody must have a photo or some info on them and how they fare on quarry that bites back?

Hello all right iv put my order in for a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhound hybred iv had a 3/4 geyhound 1/4 bearded/border for the last 6 years which has done me proud when ferretting/rabbit lamping in fact he will have a crack at anything but he has never made a single handed fox dog he will draw them when digging but looses his bottle once there above ground. Iv read bill read Bill Dohertys book on deerhounds n there Xs (great read) and hear deerhound hybreds are good on quary that bite back but he only mentions 1/2 crosses any photos or info on 3/4 hybreds appreciated
  15. At what age did ur russell start to go below if you dont mind me asking its just my bitch is 14 months and has no interest below she has a good rag on top but thats it upto now
