  1. Anyone got anything serious to add?
  2. Thanks for all the responses, glad to see that the line has been kept working after all that's what we're in for.
  3. So how's the pup being doing over the Christmas? Taking anything besides rabbits?
  4. Is it quite a close line then? What would you have interduced as an out cross? ie other proven blacks, proven staffs...... How they work, are they hard stayers? What size, coat type?
  5. Does anyone know of anyone keeping a line from Smithy going?
  6. All I wanted to know is if there is anyone out there working the same "line" of dogs Gould had. There's not too much good being said about the man but all and all at the mention of his name nearly 500 people have read the item in the past couple of hours!!!! I'm interested to know about his black dogs or a simarly type of "line" of black dog. Dogs down from Smithy (I know Gould didn't breed him so lets not get into that one). But anyone tell me of a good line down from him that's still going? Maybe we shouldn't mention any names!!!
  7. How is slagging Ken off helping anyone TAWNY? I asked a simple question, if you can't add anything usefull why bother writing any thing at all?! It's not helpful. Unless you want tell us about your experences digging to Gould bred dogs???
  8. Oh sorry, that should be tawny!!!!!!!!!!! The same tawny that beleives in "self entering pups at 8-9 months WITH CARE", how do you do that?? Go down th ehole with them?? Cheers Stig also.
  9. Thanks for your information Tel1. I'll just ignore matrix, he doesn't give any useful information anyway
  10. Does any one work pure Ken Gould lines in Ireland?
  11. Luke, I don't have any photos of them at the moment put I'll post them up when I do (if I can figure out how to do it that is!!). But if anyone else has any pictures of this cross please feel free to post them up! I'm hoping that they will make about 25-26'' and be quite racey. I know of one picture on Paul Cork's site Lynnperry Whippet a bitch called Tia! Has anyone seen her?
  12. I've just bred a litter of pups, they're 1st X deerhound/greyhound X whippet. Both sire and dam are game and have been well tested. I'll be running on two pups, they're 12 weeks old at the moment. Does any one have any experience of dogs bred this way? What size did they make, what quarry were they worked on and how did they perform? Would it be a breed that you'd recomend? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  13. 'jonnie' Do you have any picks of your whipxdeer/grey? What way did it work? What size did it make? Would you recomend this cross and on what quarry did you work it? I have bred four pups of this breeding ie whippet crossed to a deerhound?greyhound (1st cross) and will run on two. They're only 10 weeks old at the moment but if they are as game and intelligent as their parents I'll be happy.
