Your speaking from History .So you have no idea what you are talking about you have been reading a little bit on the subject and that entitles you to give your expert opinion on staffs and apbt..The thread did not bother me the bullshit did. Go back to hunting rats with your GAME dogs and leave the real game dogs to people who have talked the talk.

I guess when you have driven a ferrari a cortina dont quite cut it ...in fairness,im sure theres some good little staffs out there.....ive just never seen one personally, though their owners would have you think their mustard..... What really grates on me is these staffs that are bred for " longer legs " to be " more athletic "......then they are put in super duper fit condition to stand in a show ring at an athletic dogs show and get a rossette....no different to the little fatties at crufts ! Just like the apbt these days mate,95% of staffs are good for nothing......just the 5% o

Home is the Fisherman home from the sea. And the hunter home from the hill. -
They are not old line staffs my friend they are the new line staffs that are at all the shows now. This generation bred that dirt not the boys from twenty and forthy years ago.We also never considered them workers or game dogs from testing them on rabbits.

Is there no adult education classes in Wales where you could go to address this embarrassing problem.? If not look out for re runs of Sesame Street it would be a lot more beneficial to you in the long te

The last three posts are good examples of why farmers are reluctant to let dog men on there land.Could you blame them?

Not true some did some did not(like today)The great terrier men I hunted with as a child and they were old men at the time.Rody Minogue Roscrea Barney Meehan Pintown legends in our area big hairy arse country men. They kept wire haired fox terriers(as they called them)going back to lines from there fathers and Uncles. We had it to but let it die out we were more in to women when we became teenagers and neglected the line. But they were hard badger digging dogs who never gave an inch or came away and wer allways dug one at a time. And were not spoilt with locators.

Wheatens were bred extensively over here for one purpose Badger Trials and were used extensively for just that. Not for messing at holes pulling out foxes or running through brambles like a fairy after rabbits.People on this site can try and dress them up any way they like and tell us what his coat is like and what height he is and i hope mine is good with the cat and i hope he wont be naughty.A proper bred Wheaten was bred to go up a shore and do his duty.A proper bred Wheaten will fight until he kills or is killed. That defines him as a game dog.Aeron I presume when you say there is only one
