We dont just breed from what ever is about. The patterdale dog we used was about 9 year old and tried and tested to a very high standard week in week out not just an odd dig here and there. The staff bitch was also well tried an as ive said before on here was dug to on several occasions being she is only a small bitch but very game.Just look at a lot of the black dogs been bred today with big bully heads on them and say there is no bull blood in them. With selective breeding there is noting wrong with the bullx, there's plenty of shite been bred with patterdale's at the minute from people breeding

Thats what she said to the Irish man. -
LMAO, Liam I think it shows as well how little "Experts" know about them too. The Irish experts just assumed that they were the very same as the british ones and never bothered to look! They only found out there was a difference in 2009 I heard that Grainne Cleary girl talking once or twice on the radio about badgers she knows her stuff and has done a lot of research, but she sounds like somebody that has escaped from the mental. They were talking about it one day on The radio she was saying the department snares them for her research and the EXPERTS were giving the usual bullshit abo

Thanks for the education boys just goes to show you can learn something new everyday if you listen. It just proves we have a better class of badger who keeps himself to himself, while his English cousins live in communes like hippys and get the giro.

American Badger is very different to the European Badger,Irish Badgers are very different in their habits than british ones, no reason to think otters wouldn't be any different? American Otters tend to live together in large social groups, which would make things a lot tougher for a terrier. Bryan Just out of intrest how are irish badgers different in their habits than British ones?

Rough translation. I met some Irish man in a bar last night and f**k me he was some ride I find it very hard to sit down at the moment because he was a kinky b*****d and insisted on doing stuff that was illegal even in my country. He really got me excited when he wiped his BIG mickey in the curtain while he hummed God Save Ireland said the Heroes.Sex will never be the same with SCENT again. It was Scent but but I changed the name so as not to make his head as big as his mickey. -

If I had him in my local the more pissed I got I would be telling everybody I killed him with my bare hands and then killed his daddy for good measure.

a local lad laim about 16 or 17 years ago entered his very good bull x rusell dog in an earth along a small river now he was a hardish dog that got into his work early and with gusto but by sounds below was getting his fill so too say after a short while the lad heard a splash and as quick the dog appeared out minus an ear and looking like he d got wrong side of a ninja lad never seen what made the splash but id hazard a guess at our friend the otter My bitch you would think somebody was at her with a razor even her hind quarters were cut like a razor.

I dug one once by mistake was sure it was a badger.Dug it with a hard as nails Lakeland bitch who killed foxes with ease she could take punishment from badgers and stand her ground. But when I broke thru she came out and would not go back in, first and only time she walked out.She gave a long time in sick bay.

what lines do u think are the best??
liamdelaney replied to beef-unit's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
We never dug fox unless we came on him by accident how many men gave away dogs to the fox boys or to hunt service because they never made the grade for badger.I once gave two pups to the North Tipp hunt they eventually ended up with badger diggers they were to hard for what the hunt wanted.I never met anybody who dug badgers who did not think they were beautifull animals. -

i dont agree fat man too many people under estimate the fox its easy enough to get a dog to work a fox on ten or twelve digs in the season but you push them and work them to foxs a few times a a week and when at xmas the foxs are in full health they can soon sort the wheat from the chaff just my opinion ive seen many a good dog finished by a fox Like Fat Man I have dug both and I never under estimated anything under ground. But my friend consistent badger digging is light years away from digging foxes. If a half deasent dog can get to his fox he should be able to mix it and kill him no mat -
