Big dogs cannot get to ground(useless)just a standard little old dog.Ye have great hunting over there American hunters and the best of luck to ye,just be carefull what ye import from over here. Some of the people exporting to the States(not all)a lot of digging men over here would not touch them with a barge pole.

Exact right. With the crosses I have especially our 50/50 crosses, we use them for barn work, brushing or back up in a sense by theirselves if they are DA and if not turn 3,4 or more terriers loose in a old barn/ country stead. We use them for above ground action, we have coons and game that is plentiful and the occassion dickhead coyote who thinks he can take advantage of our small terriers. Once the 1/4 bulldog into 3/4 ground terriers, the size shrinks quite a bit, getting an slightly above size terrier being 17-25lbs, tons of mouth with looks more to the patterdale side than bulldog for us

We are putting it in a frame Neil and it is getting pride of place in the sitting room.I can remember that gun bringing home the dinner as a child(when dinners were hard to come by)it was up on two hooks in the kitchen where us as children could not reach it.My fathers name was Billy Delaney the man beside him was also Billy Delaney(no relation)They hunted for the dinner they dug foxes, but badger digging was their sport(when it was not a dirty word)I remember going on big digs when i was a child, with hard russels and hairy arsed men,and I never saw them being cruel to anything they dug.I remem

Slightly off terriers, just came on this photo,my father on the right, with his hunting buddy 1930.This gun fed two families back then when times were hard, and it fed our generation as well.My father or his brother would be gone early morning,or late in the evening to get tomorrows dinner(as did many a family)This is the heritage they are trying to take from us,whether it is shooting rabbits or working terriers,THIS IS WHERE WE CAME FROM.

ANYONE WORKING 3/4 RUSSELL 1/4 BULL
liamdelaney replied to STAFFY poacher's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Any digging man worth his salt would have no use for a dog lacking these qualities, like putting ashtrays on your motor bike.Breeding from one would be a non brainer. And if it is not a hard question to answer, you answer it. -
