its hard to get small ones today, they sound like very handy ones to have around, always prefered the smaller type myslef. atb, j Bosun11, This was the type I remember in Southern Ireland back in the 70's. The skinhead culture was not as evident as in the UK but there were pockets in the cities. These small staffs were everywhere at that time, some older Staff breeders must know where they came from. Mostly a dark red colouring with black muzzles if I remember correctly. First Staffs registered in the US.jpg The Stafford bitch on the right is similar in build, small, ligh

Why don't you explain to the dog he has to like your twins whether he likes it or not?

I was offered two half bred bitches last year from a dog man who I have the height of respect for,a bit big but bred to the last, the bull would have been one of the last of Rickards we brought it out of his yard when he died.I did not want them for different reasons, but they would have been some brood stock to breed down from.
-
We kept a lot of game staffs back then, and a lot of men came to us very hush hush to use them dogs on terriers and Wheatons.
-
When bull was added over here(back in the day)it was staff, but back then some lines were as game as the APB,and pits were non existent or very scarce to say the least.A lot of black dogs have bull in them some way back, some not so way back. The best kind in my opinion was breed them down to one eight, and if they made the grade, breed one eight to one eight,I seen some very gamey little dogs from this method.A lot of the half crosses I seen were mute and style of work gave them a short life span, even a lot of the quarters were mute.I personally never seen a good cross to the white bulls as most

That was a Nice bull terrier Liam ,shame theres a lot of scatter brained shit out there now. That dog turned into a good dancer, when he matured a bit more.

Great to read your passionate threads WC they were different times back then,I also had great times with russells of dubious breeding some of which I bred myself,at times I fed a family from fox pelts when I barely had an arse in my trousers. It is lovely to see your children with the dogs as kids and then see them as big strong men still with the daddy digging,it reminded me of my own sons growing up with the dogs and digging with me as kids and still doing it.

I always wanted to know who would win between a donkey and a kangaroo My money is on the donkey hee haw ways fights dirty.

. Probably best left alone as not many would have seen real ones and only talking second or third hand rubbish and too many arguments . Jmo.I think that was meant for what I posted but I didn't mean the Wheaton or the staff I just meant the dog that was alive could have been a poodle if it survived it was the better dog was my point more of a joke than anything poor taste maybe but I found it funny haha Yeah but it was the truth, last dog standing.

Why were ye upset or surprised, did ye think they were King Charles spaniels.THAT IS WHAT GAME DOGS DO THEY TRY TO KILL EACH OTHER. no shit sherlock lol-they were fine with each other and niether were dog aggressive.-just goes to show dogs can be so unpredictable. You do not have to be called Sherlock to know not to leave these two breeds of dog together,it is common sense. If they were fine with each other and neither dog aggressive why is one of them dead?????.It also does not go to show dogs can be unpredictable, with the two breeds involved it goes to show they were very predictable
