  1. these have returned to a building behind me for at least the last 17 year that I have watched them build,fetching mud from a river only a field away,great to see them keep coming back.

  4. easybed type stuff,its heavy and don't float all over shed and into the feed pots as bad as shaveings and sawdust ,and its dust free,down side its not cheap
  5. yes keep using what you have if they are feeding ok best not to change anything,i feed loads of boiled eggs,but mine have EMP egg food available all the time when they got chicks,they just prefer the egg n biscuits,there food is a better diet than mine
  6. perhaps top the pups up if the bitch is a good temperament and you are concerned,but 7 should be no bother,best a luck with them .

  8. been over for a look round but its a good few year back,think there was some small huts on beach like were the boats and stuff were mended,but I might be wrong,nice place though.
  9. to be honest I rear my chicks on a very secret old recipe with a long and complex list of ingredients,that I should not realy tell anybody else,but I will tell you pappabear in case it helps,or you run out at some point,1 hard boiled egg to one digestive biscuit,mashed up with a fork, don't tell nobody.

  12. nice one pappa, give her small but frequent soft food for rearing and they will be fine,i put a bit in morning then fresh at tea time,too much at once goes stale,

  14. ha ha ok thought you had me down as somebody else ,was trying to think who spud was yes its a nice spot ,but loads of walkers at weekends so try walk out in week Spud was a dog owned by Gary Hosker who wrote in the Countrymans Weekly many years ago.. :-)

  17. cheers taz, only lost one chick up to now,but have had some clear eggs,weather aint helping its like winter today atb
  18. pennines mate between Sheffield and Manchester, both are only 40 mins in car if the pass is not shut for snow
  19. thanks lads,they are old cages,but I do like to keep the birds clean as I can,perches and food pots ect all get a wash in water and drop of bleach,it works for me,dont have many probs, atb
  20. set of to go up here but didn't bother today when weather started to get worse,only in a jumper and old trainers
