  3. strange how things turn out,i,ve had birds nest on floor in the wood shaveings,when nest pans with felts were hung in cage,only thing gnasher food pot might be a bit small when hatched,good luck with them,
  4. I only have one finch,he feeds his hen,but all eggs been clear this year,hes only 2,i bred him and he seems fit so who knows,his nest brother was a better bird,but he was killed by a hawk early this year
  5. thaks for the advice francolin no wonder they give you spares they look great mule,and its good how they can be made up to fit any area,also can be kept nice and clean,i only sold mine because kids and g/kids ,to heavy handed and I didn't like saying don't touch ,I let them get stuck in with feeding ect
  6. great result ,well done I have bred the grand total of 0 mules this year, that's how it goes,sxxt loads of canarys again,
  7. look smart mule,be carefull when removing the trims on the cage fronts, easy does it
  8. poor picks only had my phone,found these today in cow shed,parents kept feeding them only feet from me,was nice to watch
  9. big mules Raymond the greenie mules,but do you think people are favouring the small mule these days,wish I could breed any,big or small,had no luck this season,done ok with the canarys
  10. nice cages,only down side I found with these,some bits on them were flimsy,a bit weak,but ok if used correct,not good around grandkids that want to help with the birds atb with them .

  13. yes its a classic,it was filmed were I lived as a child,the old ruin still stands in part,were billy climbs to get chick from nest, happy days,
  14. just had a walk to see if the nest site was in use this year,chicks fledged from this site last year,and I found these at home today,they are ready to go anyday,was nice to see them again,in the same spot.

  18. del I spread vasolene round nest pan under the felts,just in case the dreaded mite appear,

  22. all takeing some shade from this bit of sun,a pleasant pic,not like the one my sons encountered last night,my son walked the hounds through a small valley to give them some exercise and came across a large amount of hen and lamb remains,it is amazing how much stuff a vixen with cubs can consume,these in the pic have had no fox probs this year ,and have good strong lambs all over the farm,and are on my doorstep
