whats the lurcher, is it a wheaten cross? looking at pic and lads location its a safe bet theres a bit of wheaten in there -
opened a can of worms this one the facts are call outs, pest control, lambing time ect it has to be done better to get dogs the work than to lamp shoot ect .but its a fact some lads only dig spring summer when young are still in ground .then its lamping young foxes and the dogs are suddenly top class single handed fox killers . good thing is these type dunt stay into dogs for long in my experience.

WHY WHITSER WOULD ANYONE DO ANY DIFFERENT,I CAN T UNDERSTAND IT LADS I KNOW SUPPOSEDLY HARD TO PLEASE HAVE BEEN BREEDING OF AND ARE PLANNING TO BREED OF BITCHES THAT HAVE WALKED OUT???YET IF THE DOGS AREN T UP TO HIGH STANDARD THEY CULL EM ???? ITS NOT LIKE IV E ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS AS IV E ALWAYS KEPT DOGS BUT I VE BEEN HEARING OF FELLAS BREEDING OF MEDIOCRE BITCHES AND THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THAT THEY EXPECT BITCHES TO BE LESSER ANIMALS,WITH THE ODD EXEPTION.THATS UNTIL I MET MY MATE WHO HAS EXCELLANT 100% BITCHES AND WE ENDED UP BREEDING A LITTER WITH DECENT BITCHES TOO,UNRELATED BY THE WAY.T

By killing vixens you are killing cubs its just the same. I dislike killing any animal with young inside or what is feeding young. The mild weather of the summer does tempt some people out of there armchairs to hunt but these people are not proper dogmen! spot on t shirt hunters never see em when snows on ground or rain ect foxes this time of year only if a REAL problem and if u get a vixen try your best to get cubs cant kill milky vixens then leave cubs somewhere in ground it just aint right rant over.

this has been done befor a real club for workers in the 80s who got fed up with fmwtc it didnt last a shame though good lads as for the youngsters yes they can benefit from some older lads but some younguns could teach us oldens how to carry on cruelty has no age limit some out there just wxxxxxs interesting thought though swag but just think some on here talking dogs in pub best meet at your local

good topic i am a old codger compaired to a lot on here but we have always give all game a bit of a rest in summer to breed ect if not causeing a big problem ,also as said its not about killing so respect the game if you enjoy the kill your in the wrong sport ,that said when young or old we are all guilty of doing things wrong some times

bull geyhounds vs wheaton greyhound
francolin replied to morgan29's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
hi guys, new here,,, but here goes, surely it has more to do with the bull or wheaten used,,, from my very limited knowledge the bull x I have seen and been told about, the people who own them have little or no clue as to the bull that went into them? Staff, Irish staff, pit etc,,,, not sure if i have ever seen EBT? i know they use them in boar dogs, dogos,,, Having owned one or two Stafford's and been about them a fair bit they are all different! as a rule the ones breed closer to what you could call "game" tend to be all out for scrapping but the ones that have a higher prey drive ten -
did this dog come from preston area pal we had one its double sadly gone but not forgoten.

francolin replied to mission man's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
come on lads get a grip by using proven dog as stud u are edgeing your bets and still not 100% going to get good stock but to breed from half hearted dog this must be a wind up ,if a bull x aint game when it counts it aint worthy of the title DONT breed it. -
is this a trick question para or a wind up
-
I have and will do again. i give spare pups to mates i hunt with but going on looks thats the only way i can get rid
-
spot on be honest about ability but sometimes truth gets stretched to avoid not getting a sale thats when problem starts
