  1. ha ha no worries mate we cant all be celebs in the terrier world, just been over water ,met some great lads but not throwing names on here,
  2. Nothing would surprise me. I went into a lads yard a few years back with another lad. There was two brown pups in a pen. I asked who bred them. He said Neil Cooney. you must be one of the big names neil. lol atb
  3. spot on neil, and its a struggle to get a terrier back if you end up without for any reason, this gifting terriers should work both ways.
  4. as dillydog said, if they have to be advertised on there mate, you got to question why,its a big enough gamble of decent stock, atb.
  5. as somebody said, backfilling can be done next day if the need arises, when no dogs ect are present, there is no excuse for leaveing open,i know this sounds dramatic but I have seen some that were a danger to farm stock or children ,no saine person would leave such a mess,
  6. its not a new prob lads, last 40 year I,ve seen drains broke and left in a mess, repaired them even when I was without terriers, only to find them in same state a week or two later, good spots ruined, theres always been idiots around the dog game, no respect for nothing . hopefully they will move on to another pastime.
  7. the old saying ,theres nothing wrong wi right folk, good on you for helping the bloke fireman, atb,

  12. A friend a couple of years ago texted me on a Sunday evening to tell me that their beagles had pulled her down after a 3 hour hunt. On the Monday morning at a meet I mentioned it to a man who'd been 27 years in professional hunt service with a pack of foxhounds. He called me a bullshitter and told me it can't be done. away she tried to steal, but her life she had to yield, the old song says it all neil, atb.
  13. I would question how a good genuine dog ever got advertised ,surely it should be very rare that all other options are not available to some one needing to rehome a decent worker, with no hiden faults .
  14. he is for sure mate, nice to talk to him about the old days, but it was a bit busy for talking boxing day. atb
  15. West Wales/shotgunWas it a double barrel or a semi auto? If it is held on an FAC then it must be conditioned for use. I doubt it will have been conditioned for the protection of livestock. A possible avenue of investigation? Farmers do not have a legal right to shoot dogs. Shooting someone else's dog without their permission is criminal damage. What farmers do have is a defence in law against such a claim, if it can be proven that the dog was worrying livestock and there was no other way to prevent the worrying. Livestock worrying is defined as (a)attacking livestock, or (b)chasing live
