    all this bird chat got me going,soaking some mung bean today,packed up with birds couple year back only keep a few for grandkids,place could be full again end of summer,keep looking at the empty cages

    agree everyone,soaked is defo the best,boiling is a nice change cos its soft for em,a treat,not that beneficial,sorry about :icon_redface:spelling but they say a change is as good as a rest keep soaking.

    fair comment it does not equal soak seed in goodness,its just a quick easy change,easy to digest,seems ok along side egg food for rearing.

    heard of it how do you do it mate just boil small amount in a pan of water for about 20 mins ,pour through sieve,leave to cool and serve ,try diff seeds,i have been boiling canary seed.last about 3 days in fridge

    does anyone feed boiled seed,its quicker and easyer than soaking seed,the bird seem to go mad on it.

    think theres more goodness in the seeds in first stage of germination moll hence the soaking method,the rinse often is to keep seed clean from bacteria,mold ect.but shoot some in soil and offer it see what you think ,its the old saying suck it and see.

    at one time all waste seed was swept up thrown on atray of soil as it sprouted i fed it to the birds with no probs,dont put as much time in these days i only keep a few so its seedmix,eggfood,boiled eggs,odd dandelion leaf,water done.

    soak and rinse moll,then feed when germenated,think thats the word,starting to sprout to you and me. :tongue2:soak for about 24h then tip in a sieve shake gentle to remove water rinse under tap rinse daily a few times to keep em fresh you will see em change,birds like em but the seed spoils paint on cages if you got messy feeders

    try get the punch bar type if poss,they should last you a good while,worth spending that bit more me thinks

    kept quail in big groups at one time,pens of 36 adults,try to put birds in new pens at same time dont add fresh birds,also they love smashing heads on cage tops. cocks love a scrap some strains more than others.

    ? because all the decent running dogs are getting ruined by people putting shitty bullx into its mix when theres no need what are only good for 1 thing .... all decent dogs are getting ruined by some putting shit in the mix,not just running dogs ,but some lads try to do the right thing,there aint a easy answer .

    Places where hard dogs are needed, I would take hard dog or a bayer as long as they stay till the job is done, and as said before, stuff that dosnt want to be dug will not be dug with a bayer. If I had the chance to pick how a dog worked it would be one that bayed but would always be willing to put in that wee bit extra when needed, I wouldnt call that a bayer though You are wrong.............. seen many an undiggable beast be tamed by a good strong bayer.     Have to agree with you.Camera's camcorders even mobile phones should be left at home,too easy for the wrong person to make a mountain out off a mole hill.Ive gone through a lot of dogs down through the years,no pics just memorys even when my dogs got stolen i had'nt one pic of them to put up searching for them. the good old days fat man befor the mobile phone,public had to walk miles for a phone box,but most didnt give a pluck what we did just thought we were deranged digging for fun they would have the crack and walk on .
