I have always gone out with foot packs ,except for odd occasions with the local mounted pack and the local harriers,but just enjoy the hounds ,makes no odds who follows em on what.

Liam as i said i visit very few shows these days,only a couple local to support the hounds,but even this year i was helping at one when i fella in a right state wanted to complain about the judge ,in this blokes own words he had 2 ehow winners in his car and didnt get placed,he was fumeing cos he had wasted his day,sad realy.

only takeing the pxxx ,to be fair all them pics are crackers pal,if i had to pick a no1 picture it would be no7,thats only because they look good with the sun on there backs, bloody hell i sound like john craven picking the winner on country file lol atb.

a bit off topic, quick story to lighten the mood,called at a show nr kendal in south lakes,commented on the nice condition of a pair of lurchers,then in conversation i asked what they were like in the field as they looked in real condition,the bloke told me he didnt run em for fear of em getting cut and spoiling them for showing,priceless.thats why i dont visit many shows.

vixen to be fair how many with the PAPERS get a chance to work, not saying all but most are too busy been cash cows.and its the same wth none ped show men.money the root of all evil in the dog world,lol.

like the pics ,that one drinking from puddle is my fav ,only thing spoiling them pics is the mounted field in background,real men exercise hounds on foot.lol

lunita better late than never,anybody who met mr k green knows he was a real gentleman,a no fuss quiet type,his knowledge of all things hunting was second to none,and a lot of lads got there thirst for fieldsports encouraged by ken,some of them still involved with hounds ect to this day,i for one am glad to have been in his company on a hunting day ,sadly missed but will be rememberd by many.

never met craigy but always looked forward to his posts,a true bird man,and said it how it was,seemed a real genuine sort no bullshit,god bless you and yours in these hard times.

it must know it was safe around them hounds jokeing apart it is strange how a hunted fox will stand and survey the hounds ,listening ect and not appear to be phased,also how many will come around kennels ect, atb this winter.

patterdalejoel ,i did think that myself from looking at pics of wyandottes,but i have no knowledge of fowl ,kids kept em for garden ,the best bit is i just gave away 2 oxford chicks and 3 brown leghorn from show quality eggs cos they liked these in pic best, think its time i grew some balls,kids are ruleing the roost

thanks for replys ,i hatched a few eggs in a incubator ,the cock birds were rehomed and i kept these 2 because the kids named them they have just started to lay,only 1 egg a day at mo,dont have a clue about soft feather fowl,but one of the cock birds made a nice orpington,the eggs came as a mixture from a mate of a mate ect.

well it turned out a good show,and a good sing song back at pub,it is a great spot for show field,and hopefully the first of many shows for the woodland,thanks lads and ladys you all did a real job,and thanks to all that attended,some stayed over at pub and came a very long way to support the lads -
yes the weather is ok,i am going over now see if there all set up,cos wheaten is keeping radio silence at mo see ya all there
