  9. bloody hell fireman your haveing it rougher than me pal, like been said think it will come good just late ,today here its like winter,i got 2 pair sitting tight this morning the 3rd pair have rebuilt a better nest so might lay and behave this go,the cocks are feeding tne sitting hens ect so should be full eggs, atb.
  10. can somebody just lend the bloke a hob must be one in lincs
  11. had a poor start this season, only one sitting tight on 5,one pair that did real well last year have just laid second egg, another pair built laid second egg then the hen lost all interest in the nest/eggs for no apparent reason,so that got chucked, and that hen as rebuilt,no health probs just seem late getting to breeding condition, called at a lads yesterday his cock birds were bouncing fit but his hens seemed behind condition wise, anybody else noticed this with there birds.
  12. miss fox is 99% sure it was the badger baiters that did this, did she have a vision/dream,or has she been at the drugs cabinet, whats even worse is the comments left by people who belive and trust her opinion, shit sticks so to some folk anybody walking a few terriers will be involved in this sort of moronic behaviour, feel for the dog, going through all this and then made to sleep in miss fox bed
  13. what works with one machine might not be as good in another, its all trial and error, still air is dif to fan assisted ect, open the incubator for short period to turn eggs by hand lets temp drop/humidity change but no bird sits and keeps egg temp the same 24/7 .tried shallow drikers with stones in ect,as Tuzo stated plenty cheap chick drinkers out there best to just buy some and they clean easy,a good read sf and some good info atb.
  14. millet as you say as a rule i tip the trays at least twice a day when collecting quail eggs, but i did read somebody hatched some from supermarket, bet they dont get stored correct
  15. to be safe split them up if poss, some jills act strange/out of character when they got new kits, but as a rule most will rear fine in same cage, hope you dont get big litters ,cos the next few month theres kits for sale by the bucket full atb.
  16. nice one,i aint getting no where fast this year,2 pair just laid one pair not even nesting atb.

  18. its called a bot does everyone understand how ip`s work no and i dont give a fook.................. that makes 2 of us,this keyboard hunting aint what its cracked up to be,didnt sign up for all this who can see what sxxt.
  19. yes thats very true but.... not always for the worse. I like most people on here am working class and I often think that if I was born in the 'golden era' of hunting would I as a simple rat catcher be able to afford to travel all over the country hunting as often as I wished. There are a few really expensive hunts (just like there are exclusive golf clubs) but almost anyone now could if they so wished drive anywhere in the country, hire a horse and hunt alongside the richest men in the country. I know lads who work in factories and save up for a 3 grand mountain bike, I know thats a bit off to
  20. six is a good clutch mick, but they should be ok,mine have had six befor no probs atb.
  21. i dont use ferrets for rats, but as kids we ratted around maggot farms, the ferrets did take some punishment and the wounds did go wrong/bad most times ,but that was due to our lack of care i would think, some would love the rats some were no good on em,these days i would rather dig rats or smoke em,dont liike to see ferrets get hurt lol,not all rats bolt easy to ferrets thats for sure.
  22. nice old clip that, yes times have changed and not all for the better moorman lol.
  23. rollers quiet ??? gnipper you are correct some parts of rollers song appear quiet ,when i kept them some would sing soft only heard when in the shed with them, singing with closed mouth and from the throat,a ROLLING song ,not open mouthed and broken like other types,it takes a experienced ear to know a good roller from bad, thats why i parted company with mine at the time they were too good stock for pets, more for singing comps wish i kept a few,as a pet singer cant beat fifes busy little birds and cheap to buy.
  24. hunting over alot more land ,or are you saying there was no hounds befor registered packs wilbur.
  25. i was not trying to say you was knocking anybody ali, hope ya have a good last day, back to topic glad them lads got it sorted.
