  1. get out with em then co chise nothing to stop you if you know our kid and ts or any of the lads,
  2. This REflects bad for all involved with hounds ,some body knows whos been out in the area , it needs collecting then decide its future. Cant belive some one has just left it out shamefull.
  3. as said knowing the area helps a lot ,if poss keep to high ground ect,but hounds can be lost for long periods by foot followers ,a good set of folk help the huntsman by watching from different points.
  4. Glad to hear it Robert, one of my lads is in the north over new year he flys Tues will pm you see if anything going on near him atb.
  5. No worries mate glad you enjoyed it sent him home with the kids can't look after myself at the pub atb. Had a good day today me and my lad went with beagles
  6. Be a shame not to... got a few lads on the phone so will try sort some transport out ATB Was nice to see you lot Steve and saxon good to see. Them young hounds got out. And what a good job Gary, David ect did at the meet.atb.
  7. You made the right choice ladyhunter, hope you had a good day, should have come for a drink, but I know it's hard when you had a long journey home atb.
  8. Hope you all had a good day,was out with local pack with 2of my son's, and a few mates don't get much better, the place of the meet put on a fine spread both ends of the day,the loan piper was in attendance and was as always a lovely touch then a few beers in local with a few lads of here cheers lads.
  9. cleanspade not havin a go but a pesters dog will hopefully will be tested by the time its a veteran but may be too old to breed from at that point as you said in the day it was all about keeping the farmer happy but that was by the use of terriers that would get the job done whatever was required and that type was then the breeding stock the call out type/fox bolter was and still is handy but dare I say inferior as a true digging dog ,only my opinion and I aint no expert perhaps a diff dog was prized in my terrier days atb.
  10. How many you got. Nice set up. By the way.
  11. Glad you had a good day saxon, get back to basics a few. Lads exercise a few hounds no hassle just good banter can't beat that, and please no names for this pack don't want to pester folk with more hoodies, sorry it's come to this but if people are pulling in different directions its time to part company for the good of the hounds, they should be the main concern at the end of the day.atb
  12. there is no doubt this type can be handy in certain places but don't think it's a trait that you want in breeding stock as been said. There's plenty in litters from honest workers. Out of interest can the call out types be called out from. Rabbits
  13. So your still after a white team that can win a bit good luck with em Chris we still got a pair you give us one pair could not out fly our local wild. Bird life its a hard life for em on the edge of moors atb
  14. Good read this,I have a 14 year bitch not been a hard terrier but has killed a few in ground, liked to work close but not stupid hardly a mark on her just not many teeth left, my last terrier calling her out was not a option but would not class her as a hard digging dog wirral, some lads have pups of her that turned out to be harder types.
  15. Could be handy at times but I would not keep or breed from a shout out type each to there own
  16. Them that did not bother marching can't moan at the OUTCome, alot of lurcher lads buried there heads in the sand, not all hound lads are well off some hound lads are also lurcher lads not landed gentry with big motors ect.
  17. A good honest post stiig glad they done you well in the field and ring a nice change from reading fiction about some dogs working ability you no the score atb.
  18. nice type them but how did the bloke get to that price 2k good on you for keeping her, him
  19. Had many a good day out with Mr bell, and made folk welcome he's forgot more about hunting than a lot know so respect were its due, also know Wendy and she knows her dogs atb.
  20. Back to which fell pack, all will have days that stand out ,don't think any day on the fell with any pack is a bad day, each to there own, I for one am thankfull to all, alot of work is put in by many for no reward atb
