  3. that's good going ,you must be a regular net make,it takes me 20 to fill the needle lol, saying that I aint made 20 nets in last 20 year, but when younger made thousands, with needle and gauge, can any you net makers remember the brass curtain rings, bent easy when used for nets we pinched em from all over as kids, wrong I know but shit happens
  4. spot on , but sadly theres them that will say ,don't give a dog an inch if it runs a sheep its got to go,but in reality if theres makes a mistake it is then given another chance or two,its easy to say but hard to put into practice, in a lot of cases its the man on other end of lead at fault, not enough time has gone into dog when a pup around stock, but them hill sheep are a diff animal can be very tempting LOL.
  5. never seen that method,we always used a needle to make purse nets, and gate nets, but to be fair there cheap enough to buy these days, why punish yourself knitting them, only get string burns on fingers

  19. was just thinking the same about the bitch, not long off pups, atleast she aint a bag of bones that would be more of a prob than a bit heavy in my eyes.
  20. hope she does well for you maty, and you for the pup, plenty of time spent with a pup always pays of later ,if its fit and healthy the rest is up to you, nice to know the breeding behind a pup,if its the truth, but just work with what you got, atb.
  21. Thanks ,we all hope our kids will carry on our sport but its up to them really, its mad as Tom showed no interest as a kid all he wanted to do was play football and box, both sports he was good at,played for Everton youth and could of boxed for England, got to 12yrs old and give both up and asked me to buy him a dog, there was nobody more surprised than me as I never seen it coming,I've watched him grow into the well grounded countryman he is today with a good trade behind him. My other lad who is 27yrs is the total opposite,he came every where with me and my mates from an early age, digging, hare
  22. think that's the score downsouth.this one here is brand new boxed and don't work ,the older ones are ok.
