Im told its in Yorks, Doncaster from memory. Daytime drinking! (PIP central?). Could be any provincial town though. I probably saw similar scenes as a youth in the pub I first wet my whistle at around 15, The Royal Standard in Hayes Town, mid 80s, some great folk & plenty of crazies! Im not a boozer & like DC, settled down which im sure saved me a lot of bother, as previous I was a magnet for it, pub was on the way home after work or for family dinners etc. But I do miss an english pub, the old ones & of course the estate ones with the obligatory flat roof with alsatian on t

The red kites was Getty the American fellas project, I think it started early 90s. '96 ish I started working over that way Ibstone, Christmas Common area. Got to know quite a few people over that way & gained a lot of permission from beating on small shoots. Youd see the kites back then from High Wycombe out westways. Years later I remember a news report that one had soared over London & it was the first in 150 years to do so. The welsh ones had smaller clutches than the imports apparently due to smaller gene pool, wonder if theyve started to merge bloodlines. Wick with buzzards

Got the smaller one (2/3 cups) as a gift from a trap supplier 20+ year ago, bit a novelty until you need it. If I was a winter fisherman itd get more use, but I only ever do short sesh. They work very well though & very quick to the boil.
