A couple of year ago one farmer in the ardee dromconrath area approached a group of lads out hare hunting.He was only goin to tell them to stay out of the land where he had sheep on ready to yain.They were north lads and they turned on him one actualy struck him with a paling post.They just about left him for dead,he needed a blood transfusion to save him.Now im not running down the north people but that was bad form,they also told him they would come back and burn his house and sheds.Its these sort of pricks that will ruin all types of hunting,and id bet any one of that lot on there own if fi

Now it's obvious your talking about something you know very little about. stay away from the weed mossy coz it has fried your brain,its very rare id agree with ss but this one time i think he hit the nail on the head,is the offy open yet? Why do you feel you need to insult someone just because they disagree with you? I'm not going to argue anymore but I think if you lads spent any time with a coursing club or actually found out the fact you would realize ye are wrong. But as they say ignorance is bliss.

Lads i only keep lurchers and the only interest i have in park coursing is the hares. I just tried to make the point that all in all coursing clubs are good for the conservation and population of hares in Ireland. I'm not going to get into an arguement over respect for hares as i know myself where i stand on that. I respect your opinions lads. Might see ye for a run sometime and discuss it over a pint.

I'd love you to explain that for me if you find the time please. i think down south alot of the hare land is coursing?club land where lurcher men are not permitted. if lurcher men are caught on these lands then beatings,cars are wrecked,lurchers are shot is the norm. the greyhound coursing lads in the south in my opinion is for making money from betting and thats it.for us working lurchers lads they are a thorn in our backside lol. you would think these coursing lads would know country pursuits? i was ferreting last winter. after i had done a day,s sport and was gutting the rabbits i

Have seen two that were nearly completely white. Alot of heavily marked ones about aswell its as if they're pied.

I find the Irish hare has a more distinct colour and there coat seems to be smoother looking than the browns. I've only had the Irish vs, Brown discussion with one person who has hunted both and he said the Irish had the edge. Please god I'll get to cross the sea and put a bend in a few browns and see for myself some day.

its legal. the coarsing clubs have their reserves n tag their hares so you just dont want to upset them is all im nearly sure its illegal to hunt hares without muzzles..? that sounds right actualy? where would you find out for sure? it is illeagal to hunt hares in the rep of eire 3 yrs ago the rangers were out in force but im sure they have been doing it before this but this is when a farmer told me they were talking to him,going around farmers doors teling them if they see [NO TEXT TALK] coarsing to contact them and still are they have been searching vehicles looking hares i

I heard from a friend of mine that if your out for a run on a windy day not to bother walking the whole field, just was the parts that are sheltered by trees, ditches or banks. I've tried it and it might just be coincedence but it has proved fruitful.
