  1. If he really is able to just decide if and when he goes through his mad phases i tip my hat to him. It's a shame more people can't have their fun and leave it at that. Fair play Charlie.
  2. IMO i wouldn't go out unless i had somebody else with me to help take the hare out of the net. You can get them out yourself but it will be hard work if you get a contrary one and they could hurt themselves kicking about. I just think it's handy to have somebody to hold the ears while i take it off the toes and body. But like I say it's just my opinion.
  3. I think you have nothing to worry about.

  12. Try my best to get work, work and more work. Then hopefully board a plane to Austrailia and work even more Was going to head off in August with mates but thought f**k it I'll go the end of September and get 3 weeks coursing in.
  13. Nobody can tell you how on here lad. Get out there over the summer and spring and have a walk about, you'll soon find all the slips and gates you'll have to net. Come winter get out with your nets and give it a shot. The only advice i can give is to always have your net hung loosely on the side of the stick you want it to fall on (i.e so it will fall with the hare hitting it), pull plenty of net out so you'll get it in under her feet but at the same time leave plenty of bag in your net for her to run into and always watch where your setting a net. There is nothing worse than dropping a hare on

  17. Id take the money as i don't think i could afford not too. But thanks be to god i'm happy enough to just go out and hunt a hare with a mate or two and leave it at that. I think if that kind of money came into it it would ruin it for me. JMO

  20. Now it's obvious your talking about something you know very little about. some do run for the sport of the dog against the hare but is a rare thing. as you said they condition there dogs and the grey,s are at 100% fitness. they are a sight to see and have incredible speed. but at a private meet i was at this season there was big money on the dogs running!!! at the end of the day thats what it is! a moneys game!!! if you say different then your just trying to bluff. as irish lurcher men know the score with these folk!! hares get lost in transit and thats the norm as iv been to quit
