yes you out played us mate, infact you made us look like boys v men in the first half...as for the haka, most teams would have prefered them to do it in the dressing room :11: polotics mate, they seem to have a given task for screwing things up,traditions etc
  2. all this rain we have had will be bad news for the upper reaches of the channel, the influx of fresh water will have its effects, any of you lads had much sucess in these conditions,or allow it to settle down
  3. never tried it my self, but heard reports it is very similar to cod in taste
  4. clear pigeon for decoying, express number 1"s for charlies,i like a alphamax bb for the charlies, but find the third cartridge gets jammed in my auto, express dont...any one have the same problem with there auto, mine being a beretta..
  5. in bargoed..? that was probably a vulture.. :11: :11: :11:

    small shoots

thanks for the advice lads...still need quite a bit of work to the place, but the landowner couldnt be better, all well it should be a deffinate for next year to get it really up and running, the land was part of a major estate years ago,so the place is set up great for it in terms of small woods etc..any further tips on general set ups would be much appreciated
  8. its not bad mate, gets a bit packed on the weekends, especially now the cod are about, iff you thinking of giving it a go,the pier is open between 8am to 5pm....
  9. open the cab door and tail board in one go...just opening the cab door up,and leaving the tail gate will leave some lovely scratches on your tail gate as the lurchers pile out learnt from experience, you been warned :11: :11:
  10. no not the black pipe bobby,i would of thought the same, this mark is further down the channel mate, the sewage outlet is right on the wall directly where you park your car...just guessing, around the lighthouse area..!
  11. bobby you might know it....which is the mark you can fish over low water that you can walk out over gravel between the mud,it is further down the channel than goldcliff..there is a small lane leading to it,i believe it is where there is a sewage outlet there, dont know wether it is still in operation...where you park you can only get about 4 cars in there...by the way,as vincy said, the mark iam enquiring about,my mate had his van done over there you would never see your vieckle as it is down behind the wall...
  12. right lads and ladys.i need a bit of info...i run a small shoot of around 1000 acres, the shoot consists of 2 flight ponds, which are the main attraction, holding a good percentage of mallard and teal,we have a few wild pheasants also from the last owners of the shoot, there are still pheasant pens on the shoot but are in desperate need of repair, but thats not a problem,we are considering on trying a few pheasants next year.not a great deal, maybe three to five hundred to see how it goes,my question is,poults or ex layers, some say to say hello to an ex layer as you put it down as you may never see
  13. got to agree to some extent about fish reports, the first cod appears and the tackle shops stock the bait in readiness for the angling onslaught on what must be one of the most sort after fish in british waters, now the tackle shop as large amounts of rag and lug ready, that needs selling reports of cod caught at a certain mark the night before helps shift it
  14. vincy...did you fish it over high or low water...?
  15. overnunder, you could also go on the world sea fishing forums, powered by mike thrussel, log on to the site and you can click on to your area, there are usually updates of marks to fish and catch reports........tight lines
  16. get up there now mate....they are starting to show well now quite a few congers getting caught now as well from the shore, most probably moving in after the whiting shoals........
  17. looking well roy i think we had a chat about the breeding before mate, did you say something along the dai jones lines..?
  18. heard reports of fish showing up at the bridges averaging 1 to 2 pounds, the odd bigger one coming out, hope it the sign of good things to come
  19. another method you could try with a method feeder would be to cut out some artificial tiger nuts out of cork, soak them in a flavour of your choice for a few days, use them on a hair rig as a pop up,a string of 3 or 4 would also help deter unwanted fish
  20. well done mate,i recognise the face from the shoot, all the best to you and the familly....
  21. a very good point only explanation i can think of is iff you hook the fish right in the sissors, thus not directly fouling the curtain ,any other thoughts..?got me thinking now :11:
  22. as a rule yes mate it usually gets removed, either by hooking,or the line rubbing
  23. valerio, you say you put one dog in,iff it dosent bolt you put another in..!! why not wait longer for a bolt,or dig to the first dog you entered.........imo doubling up is not the way forward mate
  24. ditchy i"m sat here with a slight smerk on my face after reading that mate, hard to explain why..? alistair a incident happened in my allotment a few years back concerning a certain moggy and a terrier who was sunning himself out side his kennel minding his own buisness...police were informed, and as it was in my property, end of story, outside would have been a different outcome, not a nice thing to happen, but cats roam and most dogs dont get on with them
